WEEK OF APRIL 7, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 7 - WEEK 11

MONDAY - APRIL 7, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Chest, Back, and Balls

Today I did Band Pulldowns on the pullup moves. 16 reps each. Two weeks ago I used the pullup assist at 12 reps each. I just feel I'm engaging my back more with the band. I did what I could with the ball pushups. On The "Possible's" and Three Ball Military's I had the stability ball behind me, but wedged it up against the couch so it wouldn't roll so much. I was able to keep my feet on it and got in 6 and 16 reps respectively. I went much faster than they did on the video and finished 6 or 7 moves ahead of them, without cheating. I feel good about the workout.

Start Time: 6:40 pm; Workout Time: 60 minutes; Calories Burned: 347; Avg Heart Rate: 106.

TUESDAY - APRIL 8, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Plyocide

I do what I can on this workout because I can't jump straight up, and a lot of the moves here require that. It went OK, but was a bit disjointed because I had to stop a few times for phone calls. It wasn't a bad workout. It just ended up being what it was.

Start Time: 7:15 pm; Workout Time: 67 minutes; Calories Burned: 350; Avg Heart Rate: 102.

Monday, March 31, 2025

WEEK OF MARCH 31, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 7 - WEEK 10

MONDAY - MARCH 31, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - UBX

Tough workout, but I did it and feel good about it. I had to modify a few moves with my back feet/foot on a medicine ball, but the rest went pretty good.

Start Time: 6:20 pm; Workout Time: 60 minutes; Calories Burned: 396; Avg Heart Rate: 114.

TUESDAY - APRIL 1, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Core Synergistics: MC2

I physically can't do a lot of the moves because they require some semblance of balance. Others I held back a bit for fear of hurting myself. I generally don't like the workout, but I went into it with an open mind and modified where I could. Overall, it wasn't great execution, but there was some effort there. I didn't just throw my hands up in the air and say I can't do it.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 68 minutes; Calories Burned: 300; Avg Heart Rate: 99.

WEDNESDAY - APRIL 2, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - V-Sculpt

A lot of band moves. On most of them I wrapped a band around a piano leg and did the moves sitting on the floor. A few I did standing. On the pullup moves, I wrapped a different band around my pullup bar, sat on the floor, and did band pulldowns. On the weighted moves, I mostly used 20's, but threw some 25's in there. In the future, 25's should be my minimum, except for the final sequence of Down The Rack. This is a different workout than most, because it's mostly bands, but I like using them as a change of pace, and did feel I got a decent workout in. One thing I did notice was that he seemed to be moving from one move to another faster than in most workouts. Not a problem once you get used to the pace, but not the norm, either.

Start Time: 7:15 pm; Workout Time: 56 minutes; Calories Burned: 335; Avg Heart Rate: 108.

THURSDAY - APRIL 3, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Yoga: MC2

Last week I sat through a lot of it. Today I think I only sat through one move, and that was the "Bird of Paradise" thing he did near the end. It wasn't always pretty, but I was very happy with my effort, as I normally don't like this workout.

Start Time: 6:30 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 354; Avg Heart Rate: 103.

FRIDAY - APRIL 4, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - P.A.P.

This went better than I thought it was going to. I did almost all of the warmup, which I've skipped a few times in the past. I had to modify a few moves in the main part of the workout, but still got a good workout in.

Start Time: 8:00 pm; Workout Time: 69 minutes; Calories Burned: 415; Avg Heart Rate: 107.

SATURDAY - APRIL 5, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Stretch and Recovery

I normally like stretch workouts, and this one is no exception, but it's long, and sometimes you just want to get it done with. I'm not as flexible as I used to be, but generally did OK.

Start Time: 6:15 pm; Workout Time: 69 minutes; Calories Burned: 238; Avg Heart Rate: 93.

SUNDAY - APRIL 6, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ARX2

I went a but faster than they did because I wanted to get it over with, then rested while he did the last few moves. I did 20 reps of each move. No real issues.

Start Time: 6:40 pm; Workout Time: 45 minutes; Calories Burned: 190; Avg Heart Rate: 97.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 173.8 (+0,2 lbs)
Body Fat: 17.2% (-0.1%)

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Generally things went well. These are tough workout and I got through them. I'm feeling stronger.

Monday, March 24, 2025

WEEK OF MARCH 24, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 7 - WEEK 9

MONDAY - MARCH 24, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Chest, Back, and Balls

Extremely hard. I used the Pullup Assist on all the pullup moves. I had to modify a bit using it. They were tough. I realized I wasn't engaging my back muscles like I do when using the band pulldowns, so I'm wondering which is really better. I did better on the pushup moves with the balls, but still was cautious, because I'm afraid my hands will slip off the ball and I'll break a wrist. I did 12 on most of those moves, but my form was bad. With the stabilty ball wedged up against my couch, I got in about one half of a "Possible" pushup (I basically bent my elbows slightly). At the end Tony is wiped out and is constantly cautioning everybody to modify, so I don't feel too bad. I'm not where I was three or four years ago, but I tried, and did what I could.

Start Time: 6:10 pm; Workout Time: 60 minutes; Calories Burned: 331; Avg Heart Rate: 107.

TUESDAY - MARCH 25, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Plyocide

Prior to the workout, I read what I did the last two times doing it. Both times I said I did better than I thought and was proud that I tried. I carried those thoughts into this one and did the same things. A lot of moves weren't pretty, but I did what I could. I was surprised that I was actually jumping off the floor a bit during the Amp Pipe Spins.

Start Time: 7:15 pm; Workout Time: 67 minutes; Calories Burned: 350; Avg Heart Rate: 102.

WEDNESDAY - MARCH 26, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Shoulders and Arms: MC2

Very good workout. On the first move, the Alternating Arnold Presses, I did 12 on each side with 25's. I looked at my numbers for the last few times I did this and saw I'd only done 8 reps on each side. The rest of it went well.

Start Time: 7:15 pm; Workout Time: 57 minutes; Calories Burned: 335; Avg Heart Rate: 108.

THURSDAY - MARCH 27, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Yoga: MC2

I've never liked this workout and haven't been looking forward to it. However, today, I decided to just take it one move at a time and deal with it. The first half went OK, but then I started having mental lapses when I decided I couldn't do certain moves or sequences, so I spent a lot of time in Child Pose. When I did attempt to do things, it was ugly. Not good.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 347; Avg Heart Rate: 102.

FRIDAY - MARCH 28, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Base and Back

My smart TV wasn't recognizing the DVD connection at first, which it does from time to time. It usually takes me several minutes to solve that problem. Once I got that fixed, the DVD wasn't loading. I put in another DVD, which worked, so I thought it was a problem with the disc. After several unsuccessful attempts I found a backup disc I had, but that didn't work either. I was going to do tomorrow's workout instead, but decided to do this one off the workout sheets, because I was pretty familiar with the moves. I had used the pullup assist in the past, but today I decided to do Band Pulldowns because I think they activate my back muscles more. I did 16 on each set. I did 20 reps on each on the plyo moves. They weren't pretty, especially the Runner ones, but overall they weren't bad for what I'm able to do. I'm going to check my old worksheets to see how many reps I'd done in the past. In hind sight, I'm thinking it may have been 30. If so, I'll make adjustments for next time. Instead of a 51 minute workout, I got it done in just under a half hour. .

Start Time: 8:10 pm; Workout Time: 29 minutes; Calories Burned: 189; Avg Heart Rate: 106.

SATURDAY - MARCH 29, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Total Body X

I started off with the same DVD problems I was having yesterday, then fixed the problem (note to self: hit the play button on the DVD remote). I checked yesterday's DVD too, and that worked also. The workout went pretty good. I had to modify a few things, especially the pullups. On the Crunch Levers, I did band pulldowns. I sat on the floor, pulled the bands down, and did a crunch. It worked OK. The rest went good. I worked up a sweat and was tired at the end.

Start Time: 8:25 pm; Workout Time: 42 minutes; Calories Burned: 256; Avg Heart Rate: 108.

SUNDAY - MARCH 30, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ARX2

I didn't really have any problems. I did 20 reps of each move. Some of them were annoying in the last third of the workout, but I did what I could.

Start Time: 7:25 pm; Workout Time: 45 minutes; Calories Burned: 192; Avg Heart Rate: 96.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 173.6 (-1.8 lbs)
Body Fat" 17.3% (_0,2%)

Step in the right direction.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Month three's workouts are all tough, but I got through this week OK. I feel good about that. Most people aren't even going to be attempt to do this stuff. I still can't do some of the moves as well as he can, but I modify when necessary and try.

Wednesday, March 19, 2025

WEEK OF MARCH 17, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 7 - WEEK 8 -

MONDAY - MARCH 17, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Upper Body Balance

A lot better than time. On the Impossible Pushups I wedged the stability ball against the couch so it wouldn't roll, but I did have my feet on it, and I got 3 pushups in. They weren't deep, but I did bend my arms a bit. I also got in 16 Four Ball Pushups, whereas last time I only got a few in.

Start Time: 5:00 pm; Workout Time: 53 minutes; Calories Burned: 331; Avg Heart Rate: 109.

TUESDAY - MARCH 18, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg For Legs

Again, I physically can't balance on one leg, so I held onto a chair for most of the moves. After I did this two weeks ago, my legs were really sore a few days later. They were tired today. We'll see about the soreness, but I made the workout something, rather than just going through the motions on things I can't do.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 52 minutes; Calories Burned: 192; Avg Heart Rate: 91.

WEDNESDAY - MARCH 19, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Back and Belly

Short and sweet. I did band pulldowns instead of pullups and mimicked the motions as best I could. OK on all the crunch moves, even the Roll Up V-ups.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 173; Avg Heart Rate: 97.

THURSDAY - MARCH 20, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird

I did OK. I wasn't really concentrating too much on what I was doing, but there were points during the workout where I was thinking I shouldn't frustrate myself by trying to be perfect, and instead do what I can do with a more relaxed mind. So, if my knee isn't at a perfect 90 degree angle in a Warrior position, it's OK.

Start Time: 7:50 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 151; Avg Heart Rate: 97.

FRIDAY - MARCH 21, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 100/30/20

As I did two weeks ago, I did 10 burpees instead of 100 jump ropes, which I can't do anyways. I did a few sets of the 10 burpees during the warmup so I could get ahead on them. I also did another 20 to cover his 100 in a row in the bonus round. So, once again it was 100 burpees for the round. I also did pretty good on the crunch and pushup moves. A good utility like workout.

Start Time: 7:35 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 314; Avg Heart Rate: 117.

SATURDAY - MARCH 22, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Confusion: Mason's Choice

Better than last time, where I was all over the place. Today, my balance was a bit better, and I was able to go harder on a few moves.

Start Time: 5:15 pm; Workout Time: 44 minutes; Calories Burned: 260; Avg Heart Rate: 107.

SUNDAY - MARCH 23, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

I had an upset stomach from eating stuff I probably shouldn't be. I was tiring easily and just wanted to get it done. I was going slow, but not as slow as he was, and I finished about four moves ahead of him. As he was finishing up, I just laid on the mat andcame very close to falling asleep.

Start Time: 8:20 pm; Workout Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 140; Avg Heart Rate: 94.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 175.4 (+1.4 lbs)
Body Fat: 17.5% (+0.4%)

Bigger increases than I wanted. I'm bouncing up and down, but generally going in the wrong direction, which needs a concerted effort to stop,

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Need to curtail the weight gain. It's not going to fix itself. I have to do it. The bad thing is I'm not even really enjoying the food I'm eating. My tastes have changes a lot the past few years. Fried. greasy, foods taste horrible to me. You'd think I'd listen to my body and get the message, but for some reason, I'm doing nothing about it. Basically, I'm an idiot with the eating. I'm done with month two and Volume Two. On to month three and Volume Three, which are long and tough.

WEEK OF MARCH 10, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 7 - WEEK 7

MONDAY - MARCH 10, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Core Ball Sandwich

I went a lot faster than they did on the video because I just wanted to get it over with. Once done, I just relaxed a bit until they were done. It went pretty good. I do Band Pulldowns instead of pullups now, so it was hard trying to mimic the moves he was doing on the pullup bar, because I was sitting on the floor underneath it, but I did OK overall. Next time I might trying the Pullup Assist instead of doing the Pulldowns.

Start Time: 6:40 pm; Workout Time: 41 minutes; Calories Burned: 231; Avg Heart Rate: 106.

TUESDAY - MARCH 11, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Butt and Belly

All day I was thinking I was supposed to do On One Leg, which is a shorter routine, so I was planning things around that time frame. When I got ready to do it, I realized that was tomorrow, and Butt and Belly was today. It wasn't really that much of a time difference, but it still threw me off a bit. I was dreading the 8 Card Pickup. I went a bit faster than he was on the workout so I could start that move before he did, because it takes me longer. Once I did it, I was dreading having to do it again later in the workout, so I did an Ab move, then did 8 Card Pickup again, right away. I got through it OK, then did the rest of the moves out of order, getting the harder ones out of the way first. It was a mental game, but it worked for me today.

Start Time: 7:50 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 309; Avg Heart Rate: 111.

WEDNESDAY - MARCH 12, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg

Because I physically can't balance on one leg, I have to improvise. Today I put one leg on a yoga block instead of raising it off the ground. I still lost my balance a lot, but overall it was a good alternative. I used 20's on all the moves and even threw in three extra moves to balance out some of the rounds. It turned out to be a pretty decent shoulders and arms workout.

Start Time: 7:40 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 241; Avg Heart Rate: 112.

THURSDAY - MARCH 13, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird Yoga

I still get frustrated just trying to find footwear or socks to do yoga in, I have to be careful with the bottom of my feet, so I don't do it barefoot. I tried regular socks today, somehow thinking they might work when they never have in the past. Early on I switched to a pair of "yoga" socks I bought several months ago and tried a few times, but they weren't much better. My balance was bad, as always, so it was a frustrating workout.

Start Time: 7:40 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 183; Avg Heart Rate: 101.

FRIDAY - MARCH 14, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 10 Minute Crusher Pack

Overall, it was just OK. I have real hard time with the hanging ab moves. My hand grip slips, it's hard to hold myself on the bar, and it's tough to go full motion because I'm doing it in a narrow doorway. The ab moves on the floor went good. On the Legs of Gold section I was OK, but kept losing my balance, so it lost a lot of effectiveness because I couldn't go deep. On Shadow Boxing I did fake jump rope in place or Heismans. On the boxing section I did some planned Kenpo moves for the minute.

Start Time: 8:05 pm; Workout Time: 33 minutes; Calories Burned: 188;  Avg Heart Rate: 102.

SATURDAY - MARCH 15, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Intervals

My balance was better than usual, so I was able to go a bit harder. Not a great workout, but I was happy with it.

Start Time: 8:05 pm; Workout Time: 33 minutes; Calories Burned: 188;  Avg Heart Rate: 102.

SUNDAY - MARCH 16, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

Nothing outstanding. I got it done, albeit a bit later than usual. It's not that I didn't want to do it, but my body was a bit tired, and I had a hard time getting it started.

Start Time: 8:05 pm; Workout Time: 33 minutes; Calories Burned: 188;  Avg Heart Rate: 102.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 174.0 (-2.4 lbs)
Bodt Fat: 17.1% (-0.4%)

Both were big drops. There were big gains last week, so I don't know if last week was a false gain, or if I really dropped a lot this week.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

I passed the half way point of the round and am enjoying it. I'm glad for the weight drop. I'm trying to be a little more consious on what I'm eating.

Tuesday, March 4, 2025

WEEK OF MARCH 3, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 7 - WEEK 6

MONDAY - MARCH 3, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Upper Body Balance

This was harder than I remember it being. One issue I had was balancing on balls with my feet. Since I can't feel my feet, it was very tough. Before I got sick, it wasn't an issue. I used to love Four Ball Pushups. Today I really struggled. I didn't get in any Impossible Pushups. I gave it several attempts without any success, then decided to give it up before I hurt myself. Even some of the Boat moves were hard. Can't fault my feet on those, but my hamstrings seem tight, so it was hard to keep my legs straight. I especially had a hard time with the Rolling V-Ups.

Start Time: 6:55 pm; Workout Time: 53 minutes; Calories Burned: 352; Avg Heart Rate: 111.

TUESDAY - MARCH 4, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg For Legs

I can't even begin to balance on one leg. I knew I was going to have to modify a lot. Sometimes I did the move on two feet. Other times I held on to  chair. I wasn't really feeling sorry for myself, but halfway through I came to the realization it's just the way things are. If I physically can't balance I can't get better at the moves. All I can do is try things to make it a bit more challenging.

Start Time: 7:25 pm; Workout Time: 52 minutes; Calories Burned: 235; Avg Heart Rate: 98.

WEDNESDAY - MARCH 5, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Back and Belly

I did all up the pullup moves with bands. The belly moves went well, except for the Roll Up V Ups which always hurt my back. A good workout with a relaxed atmosphere on the video.

Start Time: 8:05 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 180; Avg Heart Rate: 99.

THURSDAY - MARCH 6, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird Yoga

Not great. My balance was really bad. I have my limits physically, but it was frustrating today.

Start Time: 7:40 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 165; Avg Heart Rate: 98.

FRIDAY - MARCH 7, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 100/30/20

It's supposed to be 100 Jump Ropes, 30 Crunches, 20 Pushups. I physically can't do jump ropes any more, because I can't jump straight up, so instead I came up with the brilliant idea of doing 10 Burpees instead. I hate burpees, but thought I'd push myself instead of doing fake jump ropes. Going into it, I thought I might change my mind after the first few sets, but I persevered and got them all in. I did 20 in the bonus round to finish with an even 100. I wasn't jumping all the way up on them, making them more like frog burpees, but they were still tiring. I'm proud of myself for pushing myself.

Start Time: 7:25 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 302; Avg Heart Rate: 113.

SATURDAY - MARCH 8, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Confusion: Mason's Choice

Another frustrating, humbling workout. This used to be my favorite workout, but I really struggled today with my footwork. I was especially having problems with the back lunges. I had to reset my feet before moving forward again, and kept losing my balance. I'll get over it.

Start Time: 5:05 pm; Workout Time: 43 minutes; Calories Burned: 233; Avg Heart Rate: 101.

SUNDAY - MARCH 9, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

I did well. It helps when you really, realy like a workout, which I do on this one. I went a bit faster than he did, but still held the reps longer than usual. I just moved from one exercise to the next with very little down time in between. I could feel it in my abs during the workout, which is a good feeling.

Start Time: 6:40 pm; Workout Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 131; Avg Heart Rate: 93.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 164.4 (+2.0 lbs)
Body Fat: 17.5% (+0.5%)

These were both big increases. Out of the ordinary. I feel like I'm carrying a bit more weight, especially around my middle, which I noticed seemed to be a bit bigger mid-week. I'm hoping the big increase was an aberration, but it's been getting out of control lately anyways.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

A mixed bag on the workouts. Some of them were a real struggle and others seemed a bit like wins. Either way, I kept at it. Weight thing needs to be seriously addressed. Obviously it's not going to fix itself.

Wednesday, February 26, 2025

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 24, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 7 - WEEK 5

MONDAY - FEBRUARY 24, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Core Ball Sandwich

I did OK. I had to modify several moves. On the "pullup" moves I used a band pulldown and kind of mimicked the move. It was different than what he was doing, but it was still an exercise that required some effort.

Start Time: 7:45 pm; Workout Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 187; Avg Heart Rate: 100.

TUESDAY - FEBRUARY 25, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Butt and Belly

I got all the reps in. I went a bit faster on the second round, because I wanted to make sure I got the 8 Card Pickups done, which I did.

Start Time: 7:25 pm; Workout Time: 49 minutes; Calories Burned: 336; Avg Heart Rate: 114.

WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 26, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg

Shoulders, Biceps, Triceps while standing on one leg. I have nerve damage in my feet (neuropathy), so I can't balance, so I have issues trying to do this workout as intended. I tried putting one foot on a medicine ball, but that started rolling, so that didn't work. I ended up  doing most of the workout with both feet on the floor with maybe my heel raised a bit on one leg. I did what I could. I'd usually done this workout in the past with 15 lb dumbbells, but today I used 20's with no problems. So, it wasn't perfect, but I did get some kind of a workout in.

Start Time: 8:15 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 217; Avg Heart Rate: 112.

THURSDAY - FEBRUARY 27, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird Yoga

Really not good. Totally uncoordinated and not flexible at all. I did what I could. Luckily it is a shorter workout.

Start Time: 7:55 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 140; Avg Heart Rate: 94.

FRIDAY - FEBRUARY 28, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Ten Minute Crusher Pack

This is basically three Ten Minute Trainer type workouts. You are pretty much moving the entire time. I had problems holding on to the pullup bar for the hanging core moves. I got six very, very ugly reps in on those. The floor ab moves went OK. My balance was bad on most of the leg moves. I did some Kenpo moves instead of the random shadow boxing moves. Obviously no real jump roping, but I  mimed it.

Start Time: 7:50 pm; Workout Time: 33 minutes; Calories Burned: 197; Avg Heart Rate: 105.

SATURDAY - MARCH 1, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Intervals

I can't move my feet real fast, because every time I hit the floor after moving them, it takes me a bit, sometimes just a split second, to readjust my balance. This really slows me down. I did feel it, though.

Start Time: 5:40 pm; Workout Time: 41 minutes; Calories Burned: 258; Avg Heart Rate: 108.

SUNDAY - MARCH 2, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

Probably my favorite ab routine, It's one of the longest, but I like the moves and the pace.

Start Time: 6:00 pm; Workout Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 154; Avg Heart Rate: 97.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 174.4 (-1.0 lbs)
Body Fat: 17.0% (no change)

A small step in the right direction.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

These workouts seem to be a bit easier than the first month. However, they can be trickier. I'm encoraged a bit by the small wight loss. I just have to concentrate and keep it going.

Monday, February 17, 2025

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 17, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 7 - WEEK 4

MONDAY - FEBRUARY 17, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Recovery 4 Results

I'm starting to get the gist of this one, and I like it. The pacing was good and I didn't tire myself out because I knew what I was doing.

Start Time: 7:45 pm; Workout Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 187; Avg Heart Rate: 100.

TUESDAY - FEBRUARY 18, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Bun Shaper

Overall, I like this routine. The 8 Card Pickup is a bit of a challenge, but I always get it done. I usually start that move immediately after the previous one ends, because I can't go nearly as fast as he does. I did OK today.

Start Time: 7:25 pm; Workout Time: 49 minutes; Calories Burned: 336; Avg Heart Rate: 114.

WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 19, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Diamond Delts

A bit of a shorter routine. I did pretty good on it today. On the last round I used 25's on the Deep Swimmer's presses and 20's on the "Y" Presses, which can be a test for me.

Start Time: 7:20 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 221; Avg Heart Rate: 108.

THURSDAY - FEBRUARY 20, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Fountain Of Youth Yoga

Pretty good. I just took things one move at a time instead of thinking how many moves I had to go until I was done, which I have a tendency to do a lot.

Start Time: 7:40 pm; Workout Time: 47 minutes; Calories Burned: 234; Avg Heart Rate: 100.

FRIDAY - FEBRUARY 21, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Mammoth UML

Much like Road Warrior from last week, I'm starting to pick up the sequences better, going slower,  and appreciating things more, I increased my reps on a few moves from last week. It was a good workout.

Start Time: 8:35 pm; Workout Time: 55 minutes; Calories Burned: 361; Avg Heart Rate: 111.

SATURDAY - FEBRUARY 22, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Medicine Ball Core Cardio

Better than last time, but still a bit clunky because I can't move are on my feet too quickly. I did what I could with the feet movement, but probably could have compensated by going a bit lower and possibly touching the floor on a few moves.

Start Time: 4:50 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 235; Avg Heart Rate: 111.

SUNDAY - FEBRUARY 23, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Killer Abs

One again, I did the moves off the worksheet instead of using the video. I did the harder Ab Ripper X moves first, them finished up with the easier Ab Ripper moves.

Start Time: 8:15 pm; Workout Time: 20 minutes; Calories Burned: 117; Avg Heart Rate: 102.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 175.4 (+1.6 lbs)
Body Fat: 17.0% (+0.1%)

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

The workout went well, but I'm still concerned with the consistent weight gains. This was the end of the first month and the Volume One series. Good workouts. I did good.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 10, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 7 - WEEK 3

MONDAY - FEBRUARY 10, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 30-15

My numbers were 32 pushups and 16 pullups, which I did band pulldowns instead. I also did 16 bonus pushups and 8 bonus pulldowns, which took me to 400 total pushups and 200 band pulldowns. A good workout. I like this one.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 58 minutes; Calories Burned: 371; Avg Heart Rate: 110.

TUESDAY - FEBRUARY 11, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Plyo Legs

I took it one move at a time and got through it OK. I had problems with some of the jumping moves, especially the switches, but I did what I could. I also didn't go real low on some of the moves where I was supposed to touch the floor and explode up, because I would lose my balance easily. I reached for the floor on those moves, but tried to keep my butt down.

Start Time: 7:25 pm; Workout Time: 63 minutes; Calories Burned: 433; Avg Heart Rate: 114.

WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 12, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Rest

No heat in the house when I got home from work, as the furnace wasn't working. I was scheduled to do Just Arms, but when my hands are cold, which they were, my grip strength is almost non existent, so I didn't think working with weights would have been safe. I was going to do Road Warrior instead, which uses bands, but I decided to spend the evening buying space heaters and trying to stay warm.

THURSDAY - FEBRUARY 13, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Fountain of Youth Yoga

Not great. I wasn't feeling really good. I came out of a lot of poses early because I just didn't have the mindset today to push through.

Start Time: 8:15 pm; Workout Time: 47 minutes; Calories Burned: 238; Avg Heart Rate: 100.

FRIDAY - FEBRUARY 14, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Road Warrior

I'm getting better with the bands, precisely better at where to step on them. This allows me to get into the move quicker and do the amount of reps I want. This ended up being a pretty good workout that had me tired and sweating a bit. I can still get better with the bands, but it was a good leap forward.

Start Time:7:20 pm; Workout Time: 53 minutes; Calories Burned: 357; Avg Heart Rate: 113.

SATURDAY - FEBRUARY 15, 2025 - 1) TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Super Cardio

Not my favorite for some reason. It seems simple, but it does tire me out. I modified a few of the spin moves because I lose my balance. As usual, not a great effort on this one.

Start Time:5:00 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 284; Avg Heart Rate: 107.

   2) TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Road Warrior

Second workout of the day. This was a makeup from Wednesday's missed one. I only waited about 30 minutes after finishing the first workout before I started it. I've done two workouts in a day a few times over the years, but never this close together. Things went OK. I went faster than they did on the video because I wanted to get it done. I didn't sacrifice my effort though.

Start Time:6:20 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 349; Avg Heart Rate: 122.

SUNDAY - FEBRUARY 16, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - KillerAbs

I was watching the NBA All Star game, so I did this one off of the worksheets instead on the DVD. I did most of the harder Ab Ripper X moves befor the easier Ab Ripper moves, but finished with the Mason Twists, It seemed to work out well, as I wasn't as tired for the "X" moves. I even did the V-up Rollups OK.

Start Time:9:35 pm; Workout Time: 21 minutes; Calories Burned: 103; Avg Heart Rate: 98.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 173.8 (-0,2 lbs)
Body Fat 16.9% (-0.1%)

Baby Steps.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

A bit disjointed with the missed day, but I recovered and got through everything OK. I'd say it was a solid week.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 3, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 7 - WEEK 2

MONDAY - FEBRUARY 3, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Recovery 4 Results

As the name states, this is a recovery workout. You aren't beating your body up. Some stretching and some light cardio and light weight resistance moves. You can work up a mild sweat, though, which I did. While I like recovery workouts, I'm not sure about this one because there are some resistance moves where you are working. That mix has me feeling mixed in general.

Start Time: 7:50 pm; Workout Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 222; Avg Heart Rate: 107.

TUESDAY - FEBRUARY 4, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Bun Shaper

This is one of my One On One favorites. It doesn't look real hard, but you can definitely feel it, specially during and after the 8 Card Pickups, in which there are 64 squats. And then you repeat it later. I did pretty good.

Start Time: 7:05 pm; Workout Time: 49 minutes; Calories Burned: 295; Avg Heart Rate: 107.

WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 5, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Diamond Delts

Shoulders. 3 moves per set, then repeat. 18 moves total, so it's a bit short, but it really doesn't need to be longer. I was having a hard time with 25's on the Military Presses at the start. The first time I did them seated, then stood up the second time, which seemed a bit easier, but I still struggled. I'd been using 30's for Military Presses lately. Guess those four weeks off made a difference. On the third round, I decided to use only 20's on the Arnold Presses on the first go, but went to 25's on the repeat because the 20's felt light. On the Upright Rows to Y-Press I used 15's on the first set, then increased to 20's on the second set, again because the first set felt too easy. I can already tell I'm going to feel this for the next few days.

Start Time: 7:50 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 205; Avg Heart Rate: 106.

THURSDAY - FEBRUARY 6, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Fountain of Youth Yoga

Certainly better than last week. My balance was a bit better, but certainly not good, and my flexibility was better.

Start Time: 8:10 pm; Workout Time: 47 minutes; Calories Burned: 229; Avg Heart Rate: 100.

FRIDAY - FEBRUARY 7, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Mammoth UML

I pushed myself a bit where I could. It ended up being a pretty good workout. I went a bit faster than they did by going off my worksheets and limiting the down time between moves, which worked out OK. I modified a few moves, doing Wide Pushups instead of the Plyo Skippers, and Mary Katherine Lunges instead of the Jump Knee Tucks, which I simply can't do anymore.

Start Time: 8:15 pm; Workout Time: 55 minutes; Calories Burned: 310; Avg Heart Rate: 105.

SATURDAY - FEBRUARY 8, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Medicine Ball Core Cardio

Simply not a good workout. I was having problems doing some moves because of my bad balance and inability to get off the floor. However, I did what I could. I used an 8 lb medicine ball for most of the moves. I tried a 5 lb dumbbell on one move, but it didn't seem right.

Start Time: 6:30 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 227; Avg Heart Rate: 112.

SUNDAY - FEBRUARY 9, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Killer Abs

I almost forgot to do the workout, and started it very late. It went OK, but I'm finding I can't do the V-up Roll Ups. They hury my back, so I did them with limited range.

Start Time: 10:15 pm; Workout Time: 24 minutes; Calories Burned: 135; Avg Heart Rate: 104.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 174.0 (+0.8 lbs)
Body Fat: 17.0% (no change)

Both are ridiculously bad numbers.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

The weight increases are an issue. Need to put a stop to that. The workouts went well for the most part.

WEEK OF JANUARY 27, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 7 - WEEK 1

MONDAY - JANUARY 27, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 30-15

Back at it after 4 weeks off. I love the One On One workouts and this is one of my favorites. Pushups and pullups. I did 30 pushups on each set and 15 Band Pulldowns on each pullup set. I can't do unassisted pullups anymore. I don't know if I'm physically incapable since I got sick a few years ago, or if it's just a lack of upper body strength that I might be able to get back. I can do them a bit with the pullup assist, but have been using the bands the last few years, and I can feel some results. I did tire a bit on some of the middle to later sets of pushups, which did surprise me a bit, but overall, I think I did OK. Since the last time I did this workout I've bought a new smart TV and had been streaming my workouts. I hadn't even connected a DVD player for over a year, but finally got it done. About two thirds of the way through the workout, the DVD started freezing up. I finished the workout off of the workout sheets, but hope I'm not going to have future problems with the DVDs. I don't think the One on Ones are available on a streaming platform, and it would be a real shame to not be able to do them..

Start Time: 6:30 pm; Workout Time: 58 minutes; Calories Burned: 309; Avg Heart Rate: 104.

TUESDAY - JANUARY 28, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Plyo Legs

You know you're in a tough workout when the body part you are working starts to give out midway through the workout. This happened several times today, most noticeably after the first set of Wall Squats. Because I really can't get off my feet anymore and have virtually no balance due to neuropathy in my feet, I had to modify a lot of moves. However, I did get a good workout for what I was able to do. From what I remember, I'm usually sore for a few days after this workout. No glitches today on the DVD.

Start Time: 7:05 pm; Workout Time: 63 minutes; Calories Burned: 399; Avg Heart Rate: 110.

WEDNESDAY - JANUARY 29, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Just Arms

I usually like weight days. Today was OK. It was a shorter workout timewise, but it seemed like it went a bit slow. I used the weights I thought I could handle best, and they seemed to be the right choices. On the decline bicep curls I did 8 ugly reps with 25's, started the second set with 25's, then realized I was being stupid, and finished the set with 20's. I went back and looked at my numbers from the last several times I did this workout and saw I'd used 40's on the bicep curls in 2019, but had dropped to 30's by 2023. This was like this on a lot of the moves. I'd gotten sick in early 2021 and lost a lot of strength. I remember at one time that 15's had been tough for me to lift. I am older, and am sure age also has a lot to do with strength loss. Overall I was happy with what I did today.

Start Time: 7:45 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 293; Avg Heart Rate: 113.

THURSDAY - JANUARY 30, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Fountain Of Youth (Yoga)

Horrible. I could tell when I was getting ready to do the workout that my balance was going to be bad, and it was. Also had very little flexibility, and had a hard time on the leg swing throughs on the vinyasas. However, my attitude was still pretty good.

Start Time: 7:55 pm; Workout Time: 47 minutes; Calories Burned: 190; Avg Heart Rate: 95.

FRIDAY - JANUARY 31, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Road Warrior

It's tough to get a feel for this one because he's going so fast. I have problems positioning myself with the resistance bands to perform the move, so I have to rush through it with improper form and the inability to concentrate on the move itself. I don't even know if the bands are effective because of this. I did what I could, but might want to take a few minutes with the bands to slow things down and see how effective they really can be.

Start Time: 7:50 pm; Workout Time: 53 minutes; Calories Burned: 302; Avg Heart Rate: 104.

SATURDAY - FEBRUARY 1, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Super Cardio

Poor workout. My legd were feeling real heavy, so I wasn't moving too fast, and I wasn't going to the floor on the moves where I should have. My bad.

Start Time: 7:10 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 275; Avg Heart Rate: 105

SUNDAY - FEBRUARY 2, 2025  - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Killer Abs

Again, not too good. I struggled with a lot of the moves, especially the last half of the Ab Ripper X section. The ones where I had to come up off my back were painful and my form was really bad. I could have done more damage than good to my lower back.

Start Time: 7:50 pm; Workout Time: 24 minutes; Calories Burned: 130; Avg Heart Rate: 103.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 173.2 (+0.4 lbs)
Body Fat: 17.0% (+0.2%)

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Not bad after a four week layoff, but I did notice some rustiness. I usually think of the first three days of this rotation as the roughest stretch of the round, but I did OK with those. It was the other for days that were humbling.  I'm not happy at all about the weight and body fat increase. I need to start taking it seriously.
