MONDAY - MARCH 26, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - Upper Body Balance
I was physically and mentally exhausted all day, most of it coming from work. I took a nap when I came hime, then dove into the workout. I guess the best thing I could say is that I didn't want to be doing it. It's one of the longer One On One workouts and one of my least favorite. I got through it, but I didn't push myself to do a lot of extra reps.
Time: 53 minutes; Calories Burned: 243; Avg Heart Rate: 102; Max Heart Rate: 133.
TUESDAY - MARCH 27, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - On One Leg For Legs
While doing the first move on my left leg I realized it was almost impossible for me to balance on it. Not that it's hard, but physically impossible. The right leg is better, but not by much. I went through the workout doing the best I could, but I felt helpless.
Time: 52 minutes; Calories Burned: 225; Avg Heart Rate: 103; Max Heart Rate: 133.
WEDNESDAY - MARCH 28, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - Back and Belly
Despite the fact I struggle with pullups, I kind of like this one. Tony moves at a good pace. Not too fast. Not too slow. I did fine on all the ab moves and better than normal on the pullups. I tried a repeat of last time where I used my wrist supported gloves and I over-gripped the bar a bit.
Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 190; Avg Heart Rate: 110; Max Heart Rate: 142.
THURSDAY - MARCH 29, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - Patience Hummingbird (Yoga)
I was more relaxed today than I have been in a while, I wasn't close to perfect in my poses, but I wasn't worrying about it either. I wasn't "in the moment", but I was closer than usual.
Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 116; Avg Heart Rate: 99; Max Heart Rate: 121.
FRIDAY - MARCH 30, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - 100/30/20
I like this workout. It covers a lot. No problems with the crunches or pushups. I did 55 of the "max out" pushups at the end. The jump ropes were going really well for the first 4 sets, but after that I started tangling myself up a lot. I ended up with 329 total, which is about 50 more than two weeks ago.
Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 272; Avg Heart Rate: 112; Max Heart Rate: 151.
SATURDAY - MARCH 31, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - Cardio Confusion (Mason's Choice)
I was sluggish most of the day, so I tried to let that wear off before starting this one. I'm glad I did, as I felt good throughout the workout. This one is a bit sneaky, as I'm usually gassed at the end and burn a lot of calories.
Time: 44 minutes; Calories Burned: 322; Avg Heart Rate: 118; Max Heart Rate: 140.
SUNDAY - APRIL 1, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - Iso Abs
Not much to say. I like this one, and I feel this one. Great workout.
Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 80; Avg Heart Rate: 98; Max Heart Rate: 122.
SUNDAY WEIGH IN
Weight: 190.0 (-1.6 lbs)
Body Fat: 20.4% (-0.3%)
Pretty much back to where I was two weeks ago.
THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK
This is the end of Volume II for this round. I really liked the workouts. I'm feeling stronger and more toned. Eating has been mostly good.

WEEK OF 03/19/2018 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 1 - WEEK 7
MONDAY - MARCH 19, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - Core Ball Sandwich
I upped my pushups from 10 to 12. Doesn't seem like a lot, but most of them are tough. I probably could do more on the stability ball ones, but I'm afraid my hands are going to slip off the ball. I tried using washcloths over the pullup bar to see if it would give me a better grip. It worked a little. Tough little workout. Sneaky tough.
Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 228; Avg Heart Rate: 112; Max Heart Rate: 137.
TUESDAY - MARCH 20, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - Butt and Belly
Second time doing this one, and I have to say it's one of my favorites. When you get done with this one, your quads will be burning, your legs will be shaking, and your abs will feel firm. All of the above for me today, but I feel really good. The Frog Hops are killers as are the 8 card pickups.
Time: 47 minutes; Calories burned: 299; Avg Heart Rate: 113; Max Heart Rate: 152.
WEDNESDAY - MARCH 21, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - On One Leg
Pretty much a waste of a workout because I can't balance. I was tapping with my "lifted" leg on almost every rep, which took much of my core out of the equation. I wasn't lifting enough weight or doing enough reps to affect my shoulders and arms. I could have kept both feet on the floor, upped my weights and reps, but that would have been a totally different workout. I chose to try and fight through it the best I could. Maybe I gained a little bit that way.
Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 185; Avg Heart Rate: 106; Max Heart Rate: 128.
THURSDAY - MARCH 22, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - Patience Hummingbird (Yoga)
I'm past halfway through this 90 day round already. It's flying by, and I'm really liking it. Today wasn't the greatest workout. The theme was "Patience". You're holding poses for a long time, being "in the moment" and concentrating on your breathing. I was a bit agitated going in. There were other things I wanted to be doing, but I don't skip workouts. It really wasn't that bad, but some of the poses seemed to be going on forever, especially a few of the Warrior 2's. I even came out of them a few times because my legs were burning. I also had problems balancing the Half Moons. When I lost my balance with those, I just stayed on the floor and went into Child's Pose until he was done with the move. Again, not my best, but I did it.
Time: 37 minutes; Calories Burned: 113; Avg Heart Rate: 100; Max Heart Rate: 124.
FRIDAY - MARCH 23, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - 10 Minute Crusher Pack (20/12 Abs, Legs of Gold, Shadow Boxing)
I actually worked up a sweat on this one. No breaks at all. The ab moves on the pullup bar were tough, some were tougher because I don't have a lot of room to swing my legs. I did about 6 reps on each of those moves. Leg moves went OK, but not great. I was stumbling a bit. I did real well on the jump ropes. I don't go fast, but didn't trip up too many times.
Time: 33 minutes; Calories Burned: 247; Avg Hear Rate: 116; Max Heart Rate: 152.
SATURDAY - MARCH 24, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - Cardio Intervals
I felt sluggish going in. I didn't get much sleep last night, ate poorly most of the morning and early afternoon, even had a beer about a half hour before the workout, and I don't even like beer (bought a few bottles a few weeks ago on a whim), My intensity during the first half was about a 3 out of 10. I tried to amp it up a bit for the second half, but that may have been a 5 out of 10. I've noticed I don't always go all out during cardio workouts, and I was wondering why as I'm typing this. I think I realized that a lot of the cardio workout require a lot of agility, in the feet and general body coordination. Those are weak areas of mine, so maybe I'm going slower because if I go faster I'm stumbling all over the place. I'll keep that idea in mind for next time.
Time: 41 minutes; Calories Burned: 286; Avg Heart Rate: 113; Max Heart Rate: 144.
SUNDAY - MARCH 25, 2018 - Tony Horton One On One - Iso Abs
This is becoming my favorite ab workout. It's the longest by far, but the time goes by quickly, Except for the Banana Boats, all the exercises seem easy to me, but I can feel my abs tightening as we go through them.
Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 73; Avg Heart Rate: 95; Max Heart Rate: 120.
SUNDAY WEIGH IN
Weight: 191.6 (+1.6 lbs)
Body Fat: 20.7% (+0.1 %)
I've been losing weight consistently. I got cocky this week and didn't eat so great, so the gain was justified.
THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK
I'm feeling good physically and liking the workouts a lot. Just need to keep the eating smart.

WEEK OF 03/12/2018 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 1 - WEEK 6
MONDAY - MARCH 12, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - Upper Body Balance
I think this was bonus disc from P90X2 or P90X3, so I think I've done it a few times before. A lot of pushups on medicine balls, which I was used to from X2. It still was hard, but I did OK. Half the moves were pushups, the other were core moves in "boat" position. I did OK on those too.
Time: 54 minutes; Calories Burned: 305; Avg Heart Rate: 109; Max Heart Rate: 135.
TUESDAY - MARCH 13, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - On One Leg for Legs
I'd done this one a few times before, several years ago. I did my best, but I simply can't balance on one leg, certainly not on my left one. I did 10 reps of each move, but they were ugly, and I tapped my free foot to keep my balance on almost all the reps. I knew this one was going to be almost useless going into it, but as I said, I did try anyway, so that's something.
Time: 51 minutes; Calories Burned: 236; Avg Heart Rate: 102; Max Heart Rate: 139.
WEDNESDAY - MARCH 14, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - Back and Belly
I did well on the Ab moves, getting all 30 reps in on each of them with no problem. I tried my best on the pullup moves. I tried over gripping on them to see if it would make a difference (it did, a little). I also changed from using my old pullup gloves, because I was blistering, to my newer ones with the wrist straps, and that made a difference too. Over gripping on the Chin ups seemed to make a big difference, and I felt stronger on them than I have in a long time.
Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 208 ; Avg Heart Rate: 108; Max Heart Rate: 135.
THURSDAY - MARCH 15, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - Patience Hummingbird (Yoga)
A good relaxing workout. This is one workout where Tony is not giving a lot of cues when he's changing movements. The purpose is to be quiet and concentrate on your breathing, but there are a lot of times you have to look up from your pose to see what he's doing. However, that's all minor stuff. This workout serves it's purpose well.
Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 119; Avg Heart Rate: 99; Max Heart Rate: 122.
FRIDAY - MARCH 16, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - 100/30/20
100 Jump Ropes, 30 Ab moves, 20 pushups. I had no problems with ab moves or the pushups. I've done very little jump roping in my life, except for a few moves in Insanity Asylum and another of the One On One routines. I did as many jumps as I could during the time he did his 100. Overall, I did 271 during the nine rounds. The most I did in a row without stopping was about 30. A good workout. Not real strenuous, but it does get your heart pumping.
Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 336; Avg Heart Rate: 119; Max Heart Rate: 154.
SATURDAY - MARCH 17, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - Cardio Confusion: Mason's Choice
Absolutely one of my favorite workouts. I've done it many times. Tony is in a great mood which makes it a lot of fun. I was a bit tired most of the day and didn't get this in until the early evening. I did the best I could, but got winded on a few of the later moves and had to stop for a few seconds on each of them.
Time: 44 minutes; Calories Burned: 315; Avg Heart Rate: 116; Max Heart Rate: 143.
SUNDAY - MARCH 18, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - Iso Abs
Good job. I like this workout. Still having problems getting into Boat in the second round. I'm using momentum and straining my lower back. Very poor form on that one, but all the others were OK.
Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 120; Avg Heart Rate: 102; Max Heart Rate: 127.
SUNDAY WEIGH IN
Weight: 190.0 (-2.0 lbs)
Body Fat: 20.6% (-0.4%)
Great numbers. I've cut down in the number of subs I'd been eating for lunch, so I think that's making a big difference. I can feel myself getting more toned and a little bit bigger around the shoulders and quads.
THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK
I feel good. I'm really liking the workouts. I need to cut down on the diet soda I've been drinking.

WEEK OF 03/05/2018 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 1 - WEEK 5
Start of month two - Now doing Volume Two of the One on One's
MONDAY - MARCH 5, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - Core Ball Sandwich
MONDAY - MARCH 5, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - Core Ball Sandwich
This was my first time doing this one. I saw the preview video on YouTube, so I kind of knew what to expect. I didn't do well. I was really timid on most of the ball moves. I'd done a few of them in P90X2, but that was a few years ago, and I was afraid the ball would roll on me and I'd break a wrist or something. I only did about 10 reps on those moves. I was weak, as usual, on the pullup moves, but I did better than expected on the first go through. All in all, I was disappointed in my effort.
Time: 41 minutes; Calories Burned: 226; Avg Heart Rate: 109; Max Heart Rate: 138.
TUESDAY - MARCH 6, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - Butt and Belly
New to me. Exhausting. My legs are shaking afterwards. I did all the reps. The Leap Frog Squats were the killers for me. I was going as low as I could, but my quads were burning. I ran out of gas in the middle of the second 8-Card Pick-up exercise, and paused for about a minute, then finished up. This one looks easy, but it's sneaky hard.
Time: 47 minutes; Calories Burned: 324; Avg Heart Rate: 115; Max Heart Rate: 151.
WEDNESDAY - MARCH 7, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - On One Leg
I don't think I'd done this one before, even though I had a bonus disc of it that came with P90x2 or P90X3. It's shoulders and arms workout (shoulders, bicep, tricep circuit), but you're balancing on one leg while doing the moves. I can't balance at all, especially on my left leg. I have very high arches, so there's no firm base to the bottom of my foot. My ankles roll in, causing me to lose my balance. Fact of life. I work at it, but it seems physically hopeless. Tony was struggling with many of the moves. I did the best I could. He was doing 15 reps of each move. I was doing 10, because I wasn't moving as fast as he was. We both used light weights, mostly 15's and 10's for me. Because I couldn't do too much, I didn't break too much of a sweat. I was frustrated, but was happy with my effort.
Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 194; Avg Heart Rate: 106; Max Heart Rate: 143.
THURSDAY - MARCH 8, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - Patience Hummingbird (Yoga)
I'd done this one a half-dozen times before, but not since 2014. I remembered it was slow moving and holding poses for a longer time than usual. I was looking forward to it today. Of all of Tony's yoga workouts, this is the most relaxing one to me, and today was no exception. I was getting a little impatient in areas, but worked through it. Overall, I liked it, because it was a good change of pace.
Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 119; Avg Heart Rate: 99; Max Heart Rate: 122.
FRIDAY - MARCH 8, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - 10 Minute Crusher Pack (20/12 Abs, Legs Of Gold, Shadow Boxing)
This was one of the workouts I was really looking forward to doing when I decided to do the One On One's. I'd bought Volumes One and Three complete. I had to put Volume Two together piecemeal, and this one one of three discs I didn't have, so it became a mission to get it. Finally did so. It's three 10 minute workouts. 20/12 is a core workout. 20 reps on a floor move, 12 reps on the pullup bar. I was watching to see what he was doing with each move, so I was only doing 6 reps on the bar. The floor moves were more familiar, so I usually got in the entire 20. Legs of Gold were mostly moves I was familiar with, so it wasn't a problem. Shadow Boxing was a minute of jump rope followed by a minute on random punching a and kicking, repeated five times. I haven't used a jump rope in about five years, so I was a bit challenged there. On one of the sets I think I got around 28 reps in without getting tangled up, so that was good. The punching and kicking was just fun, as you could basically do what you wanted, even making up your own combinations. I finished up with Jab/Cross/Hook/Uppercut/Front Kick/Back Kick. There were no real breaks during each ten minute segment, and only about a minute or so between them, so I did work up a bit of a sweat. Overall, I enjoyed it.
Time: 33 minutes; Calories Burned: 248; Avg Heart Rate: 114; Max Heart Rate: 152.
SATURDAY - MARCH 9, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - Cardio Intervals
One thing I like to do with workouts I haven't done before (like this one) is check out the You Tube snippets of the workout previews to get an idea what I'm in for. Sometimes I'll google the workout and get reviews from those that have done the workout. This one got mixed reviews. Some thought it was hard, and others didn't. I liked it. There were twenty moves done for 30 seconds each, then a small break, then a repeat of the twenty moves. Most of them I liked. I don't like "go to the floor" moves in cardio workouts and this one only had a few of those. I was looking forward to doing this one today, but I went into it feeling very sluggish, and I couldn't shake it off. I was moving slower than Tony was, and my range of motion was poor. However, that was today. I'm sure when I'm feeling a bit better, I'll really get more out of it.
Time: 39 minutes; Calories: 290; Avg Heart Rate: 112; Max Heart Rate: 141.
SUNDAY - MARCH 10, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - ISO Abs
I'd done this one a few times before. 10 exercises at 12 slow reps each, then repeat. 38 Minutes, but it flies by. Mid way through, I was felling it in my abs. The only problem I was having today was that my hamstrings were really tight and I couldn't straighten my legs for a few moves, like the Drawbridge and the Monster. I also had a hard time getting up into Banana in the second round. Other than that, it all went well.
Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 110; Avg Heart Rate: 100; Max Heart Rate: 122.
SUNDAY WEIGH IN
Weight: 192.0 (no change)
Body Fat: 21.0% (+0.1%)
I didn't eat great, but not bad, either.
THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK
These Volume Two workouts seemed a bit easier than the Volume One's, but they were still challenging, and I really liked them.
TUESDAY - MARCH 6, 2018 - Tony Horton One on One - Butt and Belly
