WEEK OF 05/27/19 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE- ROUND 3 - WEEK 7

MONDAY - MAY 27, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Core Ball Sandwich

It's Memorial Day. No work today, so I was a bit rested going into it. It went well. I went a bit faster than he did on the video, and finished about five minutes before he did. I increased my reps from last time on a few of the pull-up and push-up moves. The only regret I had was not doing more Sphinx Push-ups on the first set. I only did eight. I could have done more, but didn't tough it out. I did twelve on the second set.

Time: 41 minutes; Calories Burned: 404; Avg Heart Rate: 123.

TUESDAY - MAY 28, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Butt and Belly

This one can be sneaky tough. There are a few killer moves, especially the Leap Frog Squats and the 8 Card Pickups. Tony's in a real good mood, much like he is in Cardio Confusion: Mason's Choice, si that in itself makes the workout more enjoyable. I got through everything OK.

Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 409; Avg Heart Rate: 115.

WEDNESDAY - MAY 29, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg

I did what I could. One small shred of light was that in the bonus round, I actually fely my balance was a tiny bit better. Nothing great, but a bit better. I went faster than he did on the video, because I just wanted to get it done. I finished about 10 minutes before he did, then watched the rest. I guess I could have done some extra moves there, but didn't. No motivation. I was done.

Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 276; Avg Heart Rate: 109.

THURSDAY - MAY 30, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird (Yoga)

I was pretty much relaxed throughout, but I did stumble and fall down out of both Half Moons, which frustrated me a bit. I was also trying to get my feet perfect in Warrior Two, but I'm finding with my twisted knees, that's not going to happen easily. I think I should just accept it and do the best I can. That's what I learned today.

Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 216; Avg Heart Rate: 99.

FRIDAY - MAY 31, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 10 Minute Crusher Pack

I went at it pretty hard and worked up a pretty good sweat.

Time: 33 minutes; Calories Burned: 320; Avg Heart Rate: 123.

SATURDAY - JUNE 1, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Intervals

Normally I don't go too hard on this one, but today I did. It went well, and again, I worked up a good sweat.

Time: 41 minutes; Calories Burned: 333; Avg Heart Rate: 114.

SUNDAY - JUNE 2, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

As I've said before, I really like this workout. I even did a bit better on the second round of Banana Boats. Although they still weren't perfect, it was still an improvement. I also went slower, and kept up with Tony on most of the moves. In the past, I usually have a tendency to get impatient and finish a few reps ahead of him.

Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 249; Avg Heart Rate: 102.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 170.8 (-1.2 lbs)
Body Fat: 15.9% (-0.4%)

While these are good numbers, I also know I'm not necessarily eating better. I'm eating less. A lot on my mind with a good friend. This is the opposite of stress eating.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

I was distracted most of the week, but I got the workouts in, and I did well on most of them.

Monday, May 20, 2019

WEEK OF 05/20/19 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE- ROUND 3 - WEEK 6

MONDAY - MAY 20, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Upper Body Balance

I did pretty well. I actually did two of the Impossible Push-ups. I recorded myself doing the Four Ball Push-ups and was able to keep my butt down. I did 22 of those. I did a few more reps than last time on a number of the push-up moves, so it was a good workout.

Time: 53 minutes; Calories Burned: 475; Avg Heart Rate: 117.

TUESDAY - MAY 21, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg For Legs

I did the best I could, knowing it wasn't going to be pretty. I tapped or lost my balance on almost every single rep. It is what it is. I did 50 push-ups and 10 squats on my Bosu Ball when done, so there was a little bonus there.

Time: 52 minutes; Calories Burned: 378; Avg Heart Rate: 107.

WEDNESDAY - MAY 22, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Back and Belly

The workout went well. I got all the Belly moves in with no problems. I did pretty good on the pull-up moves, for me, When I looked at mu pull-up numbers from the last time I did this workout, last October, I was surprised I did that many. Today, I exceeded those numbers on a number of them. Again, nothing extraordinary, but good for me.

Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 267; Avg Heart Rate: 108.

THURSDAY - MAY 23, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird (Yoga)

I'm fighting off a bit of a cold, so it was a good day for this workout. I stumbled a bit on both Half Moon's, but otherwise did OK. I feel a bit better afterwards.

Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 283; Avg Heart Rate: 109.

FRIDAY - MAY 24, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 100/30/20

Not as good as last time I did this last October. I got 346 jump ropes in during the eight sets. While he was doing his bonus round of doing 100 jumps without a miss, I was trying to see how many misses it would take me to get to 100 jumps. It was 26. I started with about 30 straight, then broke down, and was missing every few jumps. Diring the Max Push-up move, I did 85. I didn't go super low, but I wasn't just cracking my elbows either. I like this workout.

Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 439; Avg Heart Rate: 119.

SATURDAY - MAY 25, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Confusion: Mason's Choice

Still feeling blah. Not much energy. Doing a lot of sleeping. This is my favorite workout. I was Ok, but was running out of gas faster than usual on some of the moves. I had to stop several times during the Press Jacks, near the end of the workout, because my legs just wouldn't move. I still enjoyed it, however.

Time: 43 minutes; Calories Burned: 422; vg Heart Rate: 120.

SUNDAY - MAY 26, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

Once again, all went well, except for the second set of Banana Boats, which were really bad.

Time: 38 minutes; Calories burned: 269; Avg Heart Rate: 104.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 172.0 (-0,6 lbs)
Body Fat: 16.3% (-0.2%)

I checked my old sheets and this has been the lightest I've been since I started in 2008. Same with the body fat. I was down near this area in July 2011, then got back up to 213 in July 2016.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Still a lot on my mind, but the workouts are going well. I'm realizing I'm in pretty good shape. People are noticing and I'm more confident with what I'm doing. These One On One's are really the difference for me. They were designed to be supplements to P90X, but I'm getting better results with these for some reason. Plus, they're fun.

WEEK OF 05/13/19 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE- ROUND 3 - WEEK 5

MONDAY - MAY 13, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Core Ball Sandwich

This is the start of the One On One Volume 2 workouts. I got a real late start on this one. When I got home from work I was just mentally exhausted, took a small nap, then just laid in bed for a long time just to relax a bit. Sometimes that is necessary. The workout went pretty well. I did my best on each move and didn't really dog any of them. There were a couple where I might have done a couple extra reps, like the first set of Sphinx Push-ups, but I was trembling when I stopped. I also stopped early on the second set of the Plank Crunches when my feet started sliding off the ball. Overall, I was happy with the effort.

Time: 41 minutes; Calories Burned: 298; Avg Heart Rate: 107.

TUESDAY - MAY 14, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Butt and Belly

Some of the leg moves here are killers, especially the Frog Hops and 8 Card Pickup. And you do them twice! However I did OK. No problems with the Ab moves. I like this workout.

Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 354; Avg Heart Rate: 108.

WEDNESDAY - MAY 15, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg

Tough for me because I have problems balancing on one leg. I used light weight and tapped my foot or lost my balance on almost every rep, but I did what I could. Even Tony struggled with this one.

Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 262; Avg Heart Rate: 106.

THURSDAY - MAY 16, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird (Yoga)

Slow yoga, holding poses for longer than usual. I struggled a bit with my balance on some of the moves.

Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 247; Avg Heart Rate: 103.

FRIDAY - MAY 17, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 10 Minute Crusher Pack

I had a hard time with the hanging ab moves. My hands hurt hanging from the pull-up bar and I can open my legs too far to do some of the moves because the door frame isn't wide enough. I still did the best I could. On the Leg section, I did OK, but nothing great. I could do better. Same with the Jump Ropes. I wasn't getting in too many reps. I was just off a little bit and wasn't concentrating as much as I should have. My mind was elsewhere.

Time: 33 minutes; Calories Burned: 268; Avg Heart Rate:117.

SATURDAY - MAY 18, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Intervals

I helped a friend move in the morning, then she took me to the gym where she works out. I'd never been to a gym before. I did a lot of P90X moves there, a lot with the weights, and didn't feel out of place. I did try, and liked, the Lat Pull Down machine, which I've always wanted to try, and did OK with it. I was doing several sets of 12 reps of 85 lbs without too many problems. I was pulling down both behind my head and in front. I liked it. I also used a Tricep pull down with 40 or 50 lbs and did OK. It was a good experience. On the Cardio Intervals workout, which I did in the evening, I did OK. This isn't one of my favorite workouts, so I don't always go all out, but got it done, and didn't really dog it.

Time: 41 minutes: Calories Burned: 374; Avg Heart Rate: 117.

SUNDAY - MAY 19, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

This is probably my favorite ab workout. None of the moves are hard, and they're done slow, so you're not out of control when doing them. The only move that gives me a lot of trouble is the first one, Banana Boat, and that's usually on the second set. My form is bad and I'm usually straining my back. Otherwise, I think I did pretty well.

Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 252; Avg Heart Rate: 102.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 172.6 (-2.4 lbs)
Body Fat: 16.5% (-0,3%)

Obviously, both are good numbers, but I think I was eating less because I had other things on my mind.. This is the lowest I've been in years and quite possibly the lowest I've been since I started this whole thing in 2008. I'll have to go back and check my numbers.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Kind of a bad week for me mentally. A good friend of mine is moving away for a while. I'm not sure for how long, but I'm really going to miss her. She got into fitness a few years ago and has taken it to another level. She's an inspiration to me. Love you, Kris!

WEEK OF 05/06/19 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE- ROUND 3 - WEEK 4

MONDAY - MAY 6, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Recovery 4 Results

Not much to say. Recovery workouts are great.

Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 239; Avg Heart Rate: 101.

TUESDAY - MAY 7, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Bun Shaper

This went OK.The toughest move is the 8 card pickup. It used to really wear me out. Not today.

Time: 49 minutes; Calories Burned: 439; Avg Heart Rate: 116.

WEDNESDAY - MAY 8, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Diamond Delts

I was a bit sluggish. On the Shoulder Presses I didn't even try 40's because I didn't think I could handle them, even though I've used that much weight before. I used 35's instead, but only got in 6 reps the first time, while standing. On the second round, while sitting down, I got in 12 reps, but was pushing my back against the upright bench a bit. A bit of a concern, but maybe it was just one of those days.  All the other moves went OK.

Time:

THURSDAY - MAY 9, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Fountain Of Youth (Yoga)

Tonight I visited with a good friend of mine who works out, mostly at the gym with weights. I'd suggested yoga to her several months ago and she's dabbled with it here and there and really likes it. That kind of inspired me for my workout tonight. I felt good, and felt like I had a purpose during the workout. It went better than usual. I still stumbled here and there, but that wasn't the point. The point was that I did feel good. Thanks, Kris!

Time:

FRIDAY - MAY 10, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Mammoth UML

I kind of took it one move at a time and it worked out well, and it seemed to go by pretty quickly. I got a bit tired on the Push-up Side Arm Balances, which I did 24,

Time: 55 minutes; Calories Burned: 345; Avg Heart Rate: 100.

SATURDAY - MAY 11, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Medicine Ball Core Cardio

I did this one fairly late but for some reason my energy level was up, so I went harder than usual on most of the moves. As usual, I used an 8 lb medicine ball. A good workout.

Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 367; Avg Heart Rate: 123.

SUNDAY - MAY 12, 2019 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Killer Abs

The workout went fine. No problems.

Time: 21 minutes; Calories Burned: 165; Avg Heart Rate: 107.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 175.0 (-0.8 lbs)
Body Fat: 16.8% (-0.1%)

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

The workouts went OK. Just a lot of other non-workout things going on, so they became secondary this week. I got them done, however. The weight loss was nice, but I'm still not eating well. The jeans I just bought a few months ago already are too big. I hadn't been wearing a belt with them and they were sliding off all day.
