MONDAY - AUGUST 4, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Chest. Back, and Balls
I did band pulldowns on all the pullup moves. 16 reps of each. On the pushup moves, I did OK, but not great. I got in zero of the "Possibles". I just couldn't get situated on the back ball, and tried for about two minutes. On the move with two balls in the front and stability in the back, I got in 28 reps, as I was able to get onto the back ball.Start Time: 8:05 pm; Workout Time: 60 minutes; Calories Burned: 362; Avg Heart Rate:106.
TUESDAY - AUGUST 5, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Plyocide
My legs were killing me two weeks ago after I did this and Base and Back, and I realized it may have been from the jarring my legs were taking by me trying to jump and not being able to land softly. Today, instead of trying to jump and get off the floor, I simply squatted lower. It actually felt good, as if I was doing the right thing instead of trying to prove something that was detrimental.
Start Time: 6:15 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 326; Avg Heart Rate:97.
WEDNESDAY - AUGUST 6, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Shoulders and Arms: MC2
Very good workout. Last time I screwed up the Arnold Presses by doing Military's instead. Today I corrected that. I got 12 reps in on the first and third sets with 25's, but only eight reps in on the second set because I don't think I'd rested enough. Lesson learned. I used the regular weights on the rest of the moves and they still challenged me a bit.
Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 58 minutes; Calories Burned: 367; Avg Heart Rate:113.
THURSDAY - AUGUST 7, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - YOGA: MC2
Two weeks ago I went on a tirade after doing this workout, then mellowed out a bit last week. Today, let me say that I got through it, did most of the moves, but still think it's too friggin' long. When I got near the end I pretty much sat through the half moon sections because I'd just had enough.
Start Time: 6:40 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 369; Avg Heart Rate:103.
FRIDAY - AUGUST 4, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Base and Back
As I did on Tuesday, I mellowed out the plyo moves by squatting deeper but not getting off the floor. Same thinking. Again, I was very happy I did it. As usual I did band pulldowns instead of pullups. When doing those I concentrate on activating my back muscles and they work out well. In the end, my modifications make this workout a lot easier than Tony's version, but it's what is right for me at this point, and I'm totally fine with that. Leaving the ego at the door.
Start Time: 8:00 pm; Workout Time: 51 minutes; Calories Burned: 248; Avg Heart Rate:100.
SATURDAY - AUGUST 4, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Total Body X
There are a few moves (Frog Burpees, Spartan Squats, Jump Knee Tucks) in this thing that I don't like, so I got them out of the way during the warmup so I could enjoy the rest of the workout. It still winded me, but it worked out fine. On the Jump Knee Tucks I didn't jump, but went real low in the squat, just as I had on Tuesday's and Friday's.plyo moves
Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 42 minutes; Calories Burned: 245; Avg Heart Rate:106.
SUNDAY - AUGUST 10, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ARX2
I went off the worksheets instead of using te video. Of course it went a lot faster. I did OK on most of the moves. Realized I screwed up the Rolling Oblique C V-Ups afterwards (I didn't roll).
Start Time: 7:55 pm; Workout Time: 28 minutes; Calories Burned: 145; Avg Heart Rate:102.
SUNDAY WEIGH IN
Weight: 164.4 (-0.6 lbs)
Body Fat: 15.5% (+0.5%)
Expected increase on the body fat, as there was too big of a drop last week.
THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK
Good workouts. I was really proud of myself on the modifications I made on the two plyo days. My legs aren't hurting nearly as much as two weeks ago, but my muscles are still sore.
