WEEK OF 02/26/2024 - POWERSYNC60/MOTOWN EXPRESS - WEEK 5

MONDAY - FEBRUARY 26, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Strength One

This is a good mid-intensity workout. I've done longer ones, but this will get it done, and I do like it. It goes quickly. I did the usual amount of reps with the usual weights. I can always increase the weights in the future.

TUESDAY - FEBRUARY 27, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Butt and Gut

Got through it. Nothing exceptional.

WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 28, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Strength Two

I probably used heavier weights than last time on a few moves. Good workout.

THURSDAY - FEBRUARY 29, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Go With The Flow

My mind was elsewhere during the workout. It went OK.

FRIDAY - MARCH 1, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - HIIT Me Up

On a scale from 1 to 10, my intensity was about a two. I don't like this workout. I even sat through the cool down. That's how low my interest was.

SATURDAY - MARCH 2, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Ancient Warrior

Again, not my favorite workout because there are a few tough moves involving burpees, but I did what I do, and got through it OK.

SUNDAY - MARCH 3, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Mindful Breath

Not much to say. I've gotten more out of this routine in past sessions, but today's was OK.

WEEK OF 02/19/2024 - POWERSYNC60/MOTOWN EXPRESS - WEEK 4

MONDAY - FEBRUARY 19, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Strength One

I usually do OK with the strength workouts because they don't require a lot of coordination. Today's went pretty well. With a timer on pushups and pullups (I did band pulldowns), it's tough to increase your reps. On the weighted moves, I can increase the weight, which I'll look at in the future. As with what I've been doing lately, I replaced the Plank Crunches with Chest Presses, so that's another opportunity to increase the weight.

TUESDAY - FEBRUARY 20, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Base Power

I don't always do too well on this one because of my feet issues. Today, I did try to go a little harder than usual. Sometimes it worked, but a lot of times it made things worse. because going faster makes me lose my balance a lot, and I pretty much have to stop for a few seconds to get it back, so it can be counter productive. However, my intentions were good..

WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 21, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Strength Two

I don't write down my numbers anymore, so sometimes I can't remember what weight I used the previous time. On some moves, it's a given, but on a few, I have to make a decision. On the 21's, I used 15 lb weights, which seemed really light, so I pulled out some 20's and did a few extra reps with those. They felt really heavy, and I was thinking I couldn't have possible used those before, but who knows. Guess I can make some notes somewhere. not the end of the world. It was still a good workout.

THURSDAY - FEBRUARY 22, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Go With The Flow

Overall, this went well. I was fairly relaxed throughout. I rushed a few moves that I didn't want to hold, but other than that I was happy with things.

FRIDAY - FEBRUARY 23, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Everything, Every Muscle, All in One

In general, I'm not a fan of full body workouts, and this is no exception. I got through it.

SATURDAY - FEBRUARY 24, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - The Big Sweat

I was getting a bit frustrated with a lot of the moves, especially the plank ones, but I got it done. It was a bit better than just going through the motions. but not by much.

I concentrated on staying relaxed and following the moves as he did them. Sometimes I rush them. Not today. Felt good.

I'm still not feeling committed, but I think this week was better than the rest. I had taken four weeks off in between rounds, and just completed for weeks of this round, so thaty makes me feel a bit good.

WEEK OF 02/12/2024 - POWERSYNC60/MOTOWN EXPRESS - WEEK 3

MONDAY - FEBRUARY 12, 2024 - MOTOWN EXPRESS - Power City

Instead of the two Mobata rounds, I backed up the DVD and did two more rounds of pushups and pullups, then skipped ahead to the cooldown. I replaced the Superman Pushups with Standard pushups, and added sets of Med Ball Pushups, Staggered Hand Pushups, Close Grip Band Pulldowns and Standard Pullups with the Pullup Assist. It worked very well. My upper arms are burning.

TUESDAY - FEBRUARY 13, 2024 - MOTOWN EXPRESS - Mobata

I got the Frog Squat Burpees out of the way in the first set. The rest was relatively easy. I can't go full blast because of my balance and feet issues, but did OK.

WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 14, 2024 - MOTOWN EXPRESS - Uptown

As I did on Monday, I skipped the Mobata section. Instead I repeated the nine arm moves. I used 15 lb weights on all moves but the dips, which I did off Power Stands. My arms were burning especially on the Platters and Bicep Pumper Curls, even more on the second go around. Overall, I think it went well.

THURSDAY - FEBRUARY 15, 2024 - MOTOWN EXPRESS - Moga

I like this one. Relaxing, but not as good as some before.

FRIDAY - FEBRUARY 16, 2024 - MOTOWN EXPRESS - Downtown

I used the chair again on many of the moves. Had to modify a few of them. Still don't know what to replace the Ski Twists with. Today I did Soccer Drills instead, but wasn't real happy with it. As with yesterday, I did OK, but have done better a few times in the past,

SATURDAY - FEBRUARY 17, 2024 - MOTOWN EXPRESS - Midtown

This went OK. I'm bringing my legs or knees in, instead of reaching up off my back. That was too stressful on my lower back. This still seems effective. The Mobata section went OK. The one issue I have with today's Mobata that is that 10 seconds isn't really a lot of time to get set from one exercise to the other.

The workouts went pretty well. The formats for the Motown workouts are a bit strange, but I modified a few of them to make them work for me. I'm still not feeling the motivation though.

WEEK OF 02/05/2024 - POWERSYNC60/MOTOWN EXPRESS - WEEK 2

MONDAY - FEBRUARY 5, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Strength One

I did Ok. Same weights and roughly the same reps as last few times. I went a little faster than they did on the second round. I know how many reps I usually get in for each 30 second moves, so I just went by reps while getting ahead. Again, I replaced the Pushup Crunches with Chest Presses, where I used 25's. I used 40's on the Lawnmowers at 12 reps on each side.

Nothing special. I got through it with no issues. I'm still not into this round mentally. Mostly going through the motions and pushing myself here and there.

WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 7, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Strength Two

I felt better than I had been lately. I didn't struggle as much as last week, used the same weights. I did twelve reps on most of the moves. Weights ranged from 10's to 25's, except for 5's on the last move.

THURSDAY - FEBRUARY 8, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Go With The Flow

Much, much better than last week. I wanted to get the long Warrior One sequence out of the way, but I started a bit earlier than they did by accident. Still, it worked out. I only missed a few moves, but got time to relax a bit more while waiting for the cast to finish the sequence. Feeling a bit of strain in my lower right back. Not sure where it came from. Possibly from yesterday's weight lighting session.

FRIDAY - FEBRUARY 9, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - HIIT Me Up

This is what I call an obnoxious workout. It's not really, but it's a bunch of moves that I just don't like doing. I especially don't like the plank moves, and there are a lot of them. Too many for my taste. I used power stands on those as a change of pace. The only two things saving this workout and the fact that it's short, and that Alice is in it. She always brightens things up.

SATURDAY - FEBRUARY 10, 2024 - POWERSYNC60 - Ancient Warrior

I really didn't feel like doing it, an there are several moves her that I dread, much like yesterday's workout, just not as bad. I got through it, however. Could have worked harder at it, but didn't totally dog it. I just find I can't go real hard at cardio workouts for some reason. I don't know if it's a mental thing, or a physical thing. It might me a physical thing that turns it into a mental thing.

I really paid attention to what was going on during the workout, and it felt good.

I really have to start paying attention to what I am eating. After I got sick, my weight was so low, I needed to put on weight, so it was no big deal. Now I'm at the point where it could get out of control if I don't watch it.

A bit better than last week, but I still feel like I'm not firmly committed yet. It could be that the workouts aren't super intense or challenging, but I really don't feel like doing much more. I'm mentally exhausted from other things and just don't have the energy. Need to relax a bit and get focused.
