WEEK OF MAY 25, 2026 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 9 - WEEK 8

MONDAY - MAY 25, 2026 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Upper Body Balance

Day off of work day (memorial Day), so I got this one done earlier in the day than usual. That felt good. I'm sore as hell, mostly around my abs and lower back. I butchered the Superman V-ups. 20 reps seem to be too many for me. I could barely get my back off the floor. I got in three very lame Impossible Pushups, but I was able to do 20 Four Ball Pushups. They weren't deep, but I did bend my arms a bit. I got some new sneakers last week for the workouts. They are a bit heavier than the Xero Shoes I had been using. I can feel the difference when doing any type of a v-up. Overall, it went well. Maybe because it was earlier in the day, and I was a bit fresher.

Start Time: 2:45 pm; Workout Time: 53 minutes; Calories Burned: 286; Avg Heart Rate: 102.

TUESDAY - MAY 26, 2026 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg For Legs

I held onto a chair for most moves. Because I can't balance on one leg anymore this is a necessity and at least allows me to get the range of motion in. I've learned my limitations, accept them to some degree, and don't feel bad about modifying.

Start Time: 7:25 pm; Workout Time: 52 minutes; Calories Burned: 223; Avg Heart Rate: 96.

WEDNESDAY - MAY 27, 2026 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Back and Belly

I can't do meaningful pullups anymore, so I did Band Pulldowns (16 reps) instead, and really concentrated on activating my back muscles during the move. My back does feel thick, so it's a good alternative. No problems with the "belly" moves, even the Roll-up V-ups which sometimes strain my lower back.

Start Time: 7:15 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 161; Avg Heart Rate: 94.

THURSDAY - MAY 28, 2026 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird

Not much to say. The usual on this one.

Start Time: 7:45 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 155; Avg Heart Rate: 96.

FRIDAY - MAY 29, 2026 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 100/30/20

The last few rounds I did 10 Burpees instead of the 100 Jump Ropes because I can't do Jump Ropes anymore. Can't get my feet off the ground. Two weeks ago I didn't feel I could do the Burpee so I did fake Jump Ropes instead. Today I was feeling up to it and I can't believe I am saying this, but was even looking forward to trying the Burpees. I did them with flying colors, so I really felt proud of myself afterwards. I even did 20 of them in his Bonus section. It was a good workout for me today.

Start Time: 7:30 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 255; Avg Heart Rate: 106.

SATURDAY - MAY 30, 2026 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Confusion: Mason's Choice

I was feeling a bit more nimble on my feet than usual, so this was actually enjoyable.

Start Time: 4:45 pm; Workout Time: 44 minutes; Calories Burned: 261; Avg Heart Rate: 104.

SUNDAY - MAY 31, 2026 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

Again, I did this off the worksheet instead of the video. It went well.

Start Time: 8:30 pm; Workout Time: 29 minutes; Calories Burned: 97; Avg Heart Rate: 92.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 170.4 (-0.2 lbs)
Body Fat: 16.3% (+0.5%)

Not a clue.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

For some reason, the workouts seemed to go better than usual. My shoulders are really sore, and I think it's because of all the Burpees I did on Friday.
