I wasn't feeling like doing this one when I got home. I took a small nap, which sometimes refreshes me, but when I woke, I still was wondering how I'd get though it. My numbers were 30 push-ups and 6 pull-ups, which is what I'd been doing lately. It ended up being one of the worst workouts I've done in a long time. The push-ups went OK, but I could barely do any pull-ups. I was constantly coming off the bar, I was kipping, I wasn't getting all the way over the bar. Just horrible. On the bright side, I was able to get in an additional 65 push-ups while he was finishing up, so I did 425 total..

TUESDAY - AUGUST 4, 2020 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Plyo Legs
I think I've said before that this is one of the toughest of all the One On One's, if not the toughest. I was determined to bounce back from yesterday's mess and do my best, which is exactly what happened. I took the moves one by one. I usually am toast by the last few moves and can barely get off the floor, but today was a bit better at the end. I did take a small two minute break with three moves left, which I'm sure helped, but it was the only break I took in the entire workout. There were a few moves I didn't go all the way to the ground, like the Dead Lift Squats and the 4 Corners, but others I did, like the Side Long Jumps and the Side Lunge Reaches (with an 8 lb medicine ball). Overall, I was very happy with my effort. A good bounce back.

WEDNESDAY - AUGUST 5, 2020 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Just Arms
Another good workout. Most times I try to top what I did the last time, but today I tried to play it smart. On the Bicep Curls, I did them standing. He says you can lift more seated, which is what I did two weeks ago,but I find otherwise, and tested it today. On the first set I used 35's and got in 10 reps (had 8 reps two weeks ago). On the second set I was feeling a bit frisky and pulled out 40's. I only got 4 reps in, and they were a bit ugly, but I could see myself being able to handle them as I guild my strength back up. Two weeks ago I strained my left arm by using 25's on the Tricep Kickbacks and it affected the rest of the workout. Instead of tempting fate I went down to 20's and they worked well. I was able to finish up with the weights I'd used in the past, including going back to 20's on the Crazy 8's.

THURSDAY - AUGUST 6, 2020 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Fountain Of Youth
This was my best yoga routine in a long time. I was a bit calmer than usual, probably because I cut down on my pop consumption the last two days. My balance was a bit better than usual. My concentration level was better also. My balance is still very poor, but at least today I was dealing with it and trying to fight through it, rather than just getting flustered and giving up.

FRIDAY - AUGUST 7, 2020 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Road Warrior
I wore my sneakers to stand on the bands. I also pulled out a few bands ahead of time to prepare myself. I used the Yellow band on the bicep and squat moves. I used the maroon band on the moves there I had to push them way over my head, It went Ok, but I really wasn't in the mood. I'd pulled aout a Red band to use on some of the moves, but the nandle broke on the first move with it. When I reached the hal way point of the workout, I hit pause and spent about 10 minutes trying to fix the handle, mostly because I didn't feel like finishing the workout. However, I did finiih.

SATURDAY - AUGUST 8, 2020 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Super Cardio
I wasn't really looking forward to this one, but I wasn't dreading it either, as this is one of the easier workouts. I didn't get to it until mid-evening. I had problems with my legs getting real heavy in the second section. I could barely get off the ground on the 180 Jumps and could barely move my legs on the last set of DB Scoots. I'd mowed the lawn earlier in the day, so maybe that had something to do with it, but it never bothered me that much before. Maybe it's what I'm eating.

SUNDAY - AUGUST 9, 2020 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Killer Abs
I did this one late, and I did it without the video, while I was watching the hockey game. I also did it out of sequence. I did a few of the Ab Ripper (Power 90) moves, then got the harder Ab Ripper X (P90X) moves out of the way before finishing up what I hadn't done. The moves felt a lot easier then the have in the past. The only one that didn't go smoothly were the Mason Twists. I did 32, came down for a second, then finished the final eight. I didn't go for more than that, because I was struggling.
Time: 19 minutes; Calories Burned: 119; Avg Heart Rate: 99.
SUNDAY WEIGH IN
Weight: 163.4 (+1.4 lbs)
Body Fat: 13.9% (+0.2%)
I didn't eat great. I had a full container of Macaroni Salad (with mayo) over the last two days, which probably didn't help.
THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK
I recovered nicely after Monday's disappointment, and got a few good workouts in. I'm sore, though, which can be expected. That concept never seems to go away, no matter how long you've been at it.
I guess it's a good sore.
