WEEK OF 08/18/2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 8 - WEEK 13

MONDAY - AUGUST 18, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Fountain of Youth

Last week of the round. All yoga. This might be my favorite of the three yoga routines. It has a bit of everything, but not too much. I stayed relaxed and took it one move at a time, and that worked well. Partially enjoyable.

Start Time: 7:05 pm; Workout Time: 47 minutes; Calories Burned: 180; Avg Heart Rate:93.

TUESDAY - AUGUST 19, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird

Much like yesterday. I was somewhat relaxed and took it one move at a time.

Start Time: 7:30 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 148; Avg Heart Rate: 95.

WEDNESDAY - AUGUST 20, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Yoga: MC2

Not as good as the last two days. I was off a bit, not as relaxed, and it was just a long workout, which didn't help.

Start Time: 6:50 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 249; Avg Heart Rate: 92.

THURSDAY - AUGUST 21, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Yoga: MC2

I like to do this one back to back during yoga week, so I can get it out of the way. Plus, I'd rather finish with Fountain of Youth, rather than dreading this one later in the week. Today was better than yesterday, but not as good as Monday or Tuesday's workouts. I did learn one thing, however. On the dreaded leaning over Shoulder Stretches, I found if I clasped my hands like he does, rather than not, I was able to bend over farther and keep my balance a bit better. At least that's what happened today.

Start Time: 7:25 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 406; Avg Heart Rate: 106.

FRIDAY - AUGUST 22, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird

Better. Much like Tuesday's workout. It helps that it's a shorter routine. My mind was in a better place than the last two days.

Start Time: 6:25 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 150; Avg Heart Rate: 95.

SATURDAY - AUGUST 23, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Fountain of Youth

This was the last workout of the round. I like this routine because it covers a lot of things without being totally repetitive. I had bought this one as a standalone well before I bought the three volumes in their entirety, so it's like an old friend. For that reason, I like finishing the round with it. Sort of a respect thing, and I'm able to relax with it. However, today, I struggled a bit. I ate an extra huge salad before the workout and it was sitting in my stomach and slowing me down a bit. I labored through a lot of the workout and was constantly watching the clock to see how much time left. I did get through it though. Not a great finish to the round, but a respectful one, in that it wasn't easy.

Start Time: 6:25 pm; Workout Time: 47 minutes; Calories Burned: 300; Avg Heart Rate:107.

SUNDAY - AUGUST 24, 2025 - Rest

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 166.0 (+0.6 lbs)
Body Fat: 15.4% (no change)

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

I really like finishing the round this way, with all yoga. You'd think it might be overdoing it, but it just works so well.

THOUGHTS FOR THE ROUND

At the beginning I was thinking I hadn't given myself enough rest after finishing the previous round, but the more I got into it, the better it seemed to be. This One On One series just seems perfect to me, and is by far my favorite workout program. I feel a bit stronger and a bit thicker, especially in my shoulders and back. And I'm not even doing standard pullups. I'm doing Band Pulldowns instead. Once again, I'm very please with how it went. I did learn how to modify moves, and I was OK with it. I didn't feel like I was cheating because I physically can't do some of the moves. You do what you can. Overall, I dropped 4.8 lbs and 1.3% body fat, which are good numbers. Some of that is due to the fact I've been working from home and eating better, but it's still good. I'll take a few weeks off, and might look at doing one of Tony's new Power Nation programs when I get back at it.

WEEK OF 08/11/2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 8 - WEEK 12

MONDAY - AUGUST 11, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - UBX

Pretty good. Not much else to say. I started the Shoulder Presses with 30's.

Start Time: 7:25 pm; Workout Time: 60 minutes; Calories Burned: 396; Avg Heart Rate:113.

TUESDAY - AUGUST 12, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Core Synergistics: MC2

I decided beforehand that I was going to modify where I could. It worked well and I actually got done more than I usually do.

Start Time: 7:20 pm; Workout Time: 67 minutes; Calories Burned: 332; Avg Heart Rate: 101.

WEDNESDAY - AUGUST 13, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - V-Sculpt

I like this one because there are a few moves that use resistance bands. They seem to be effective. I started the Strip Sets with 30's and increased the one arm concentration curls to 30's. Both went OK.

Start Time: 8:05 pm; Workout Time: 56 minutes; Calories Burned: 297; Avg Heart Rate: 103.

THURSDAY - AUGUST 14, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Yoga: MC2

Instead of whipping myself into a pissed off frenzy, I replaced some of the redundant moves with things I felt were more relaxing. I've been seeing a lot of videos lately about a program that emphasizes mobility, especially in the hips, so instead to doing all the extra shoulder stretches, I got into a low squat and pushed my knees out with my elbows. I got in a few extra Child Poses, and did a bit of a Shavasana near the end. It didn't calm me down a lot, but did a bit.

Start Time: 8:05 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 232; Avg Heart Rate: 103.

FRIDAY - AUGUST 15, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - P.A.P.

Long day. I got started a bit later than usual, but I wanted to just relax and watch a WNBA game, so I did the workout without the video, and I only did the two complexes. I skipped the long warmup and cooldown. I feel I still got a good workout in, though. I really, really struggle with the Front to Back Lunges because my balance is so horrible. I did what I could, and used 20lb weights. I used 25's on the Pushup Rows. I modified of few of the other moves.

Start Time: 8:25 pm; Workout Time: 31 minutes; Calories Burned: 208; Avg Heart Rate: 111.

SATURDAY - AUGUST 16, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Stretch and Recovery

I was very sore and not very flexible going into it, especially in my legs. Early on, I ditched what he was doing and instead did what I felt I needed. I did a few leg stretches. did some foam rolling on my legs, relaxed in Child Pose a few times, did Frog Squat and Frog, and did some other stretches he usually doesn't do in this program. At the end I felt very good, and more importantly, very mentally relaxed. Much needed. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to go off the beaten path and do what YOU need.

Start Time: 7:30 pm; Workout Time: 69 minutes; Calories Burned: 152; Avg Heart Rate: 85.

SUNDAY - AUGUST 17, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ARX2

I did it off the worksheets again, with no video, doing the moves I don't like (Superman Banana, The Buddhist) at the beginning and sort of working backwards. It went pretty good.

Start Time: 8:55 pm; Workout Time: 31 minutes; Calories Burned: 152; Avg Heart Rate: 100.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 165.2 (+0.8 lbs)
Body Fat: 15.4% (-0.1%)

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

This was the end of month three and the "strength" workouts for the round. I feel strong and a bit thicker in my upper body. I'm pleased. I'm also sore as hell, but that's OK.

WEEK OF 08/04/2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 8 - WEEK 11

MONDAY - AUGUST 4, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Chest. Back, and Balls

I did band pulldowns on all the pullup moves. 16 reps of each. On the pushup moves, I did OK, but not great. I got in zero of the "Possibles". I just couldn't get situated on the back ball, and tried for about two minutes. On the move with two balls in the front and stability in the back, I got in 28 reps, as I was able to get onto the back ball.

Start Time: 8:05 pm; Workout Time: 60 minutes; Calories Burned: 362; Avg Heart Rate:106.

TUESDAY - AUGUST 5, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Plyocide

My legs were killing me two weeks ago after I did this and Base and Back, and I realized it may have been from the jarring my legs were taking by me trying to jump and not being able to land softly. Today, instead of trying to jump and get off the floor, I simply squatted lower. It actually felt good, as if I was doing the right thing instead of trying to prove something that was detrimental.

Start Time: 6:15 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 326; Avg Heart Rate:97.

WEDNESDAY - AUGUST 6, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Shoulders and Arms: MC2

Very good workout. Last time I screwed up the Arnold Presses by doing Military's instead. Today I corrected that. I got 12 reps in on the first and third sets with 25's, but only eight reps in on the second set because I don't think I'd rested enough. Lesson learned. I used the regular weights on the rest of the moves and they still challenged me a bit.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 58 minutes; Calories Burned: 367; Avg Heart Rate:113.

THURSDAY - AUGUST 7, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - YOGA: MC2

Two weeks ago I went on a tirade after doing this workout, then mellowed out a bit last week. Today, let me say that I got through it, did most of the moves, but still think it's too friggin' long. When I got near the end I pretty much sat through the half moon sections because I'd just had enough.

Start Time: 6:40 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 369; Avg Heart Rate:103.

FRIDAY - AUGUST 4, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Base and Back

As I did on Tuesday, I mellowed out the plyo moves by squatting deeper but not getting off the floor. Same thinking. Again, I was very happy I did it. As usual I did band pulldowns instead of pullups. When doing those I concentrate on activating my back muscles and they work out well. In the end, my modifications make this workout a lot easier than Tony's version, but it's what is right for me at this point, and I'm totally fine with that. Leaving the ego at the door.

Start Time: 8:00 pm; Workout Time: 51 minutes; Calories Burned: 248; Avg Heart Rate:100.

SATURDAY - AUGUST 4, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Total Body X

There are a few moves (Frog Burpees, Spartan Squats, Jump Knee Tucks) in this thing that I don't like, so I got them out of the way during the warmup so I could enjoy the rest of the workout. It still winded me, but it worked out fine. On the Jump Knee Tucks I didn't jump, but went real low in the squat, just as I had on Tuesday's and Friday's.plyo moves

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 42 minutes; Calories Burned: 245; Avg Heart Rate:106.

SUNDAY - AUGUST 10, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ARX2

I went off the worksheets instead of using te video. Of course it went a lot faster. I did OK on most of the moves. Realized I screwed up the Rolling Oblique C V-Ups afterwards (I didn't roll).

Start Time: 7:55 pm; Workout Time: 28 minutes; Calories Burned: 145; Avg Heart Rate:102.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 164.4 (-0.6 lbs)
Body Fat: 15.5% (+0.5%)

Expected increase on the body fat, as there was too big of a drop last week.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Good workouts. I was really proud of myself on the modifications I made on the two plyo days. My legs aren't hurting nearly as much as two weeks ago, but my muscles are still sore.

Wednesday, July 30, 2025

WEEK OF 07/28/2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 8 - WEEK 10

MONDAY - JULY 28, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - UBX

Most of the moves went OK. I backed off a bit when needed.

Start Time: 6:30 pm; Workout Time: 60 minutes; Calories Burned: 421; Avg Heart Rate:115.

TUESDAY - JULY 29, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Core Synergistics: MC2

Another workout I don't like because I can't do the moves anymore. A lot of them are just unsafe for me to even attempt to do them, so I try and find an alternative. Problem is I really don't care to. I didn't like Core Synergistics in the original P90X either. I didn't do the warmup or the cooldown. Just no interest there.

Start Time: 7:45 pm; Workout Time: 67 minutes; Calories Burned: 333; Avg Heart Rate:102.

WEDNESDAY - JULY 30, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - V-Sculpt

This went OK. I did band pulldowns instead of pullups but I'm really finding they seem to be working. I used 30's, 25's, 20's on the Strip Set, and 25's on most of the bent over concentration curls.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 55 minutes; Calories Burned: 383; Avg Heart Rate:114.

THURSDAY - JULY 31, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Yoga: MC2

Last week was a disaster with this thing. Today I did all the moves, took them one at at time, and had a better attitude.

Start Time: 7:15 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 364; Avg Heart Rate:103.

FRIDAY - AUGUST 1, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - P.A.P.

I played golf in the morning / early afternoon. I was tired when I got home. I sat through the excessively long "warmup" and "cooldown" sections and only did the two complexes. I have to modify some of the moves, but they went fine. I used 20's on the Front and Back Lunges, but can't keep my balance. On the Pushup / Side Rows, I started early and wasn't really paying attention to the video. I was doing ten rows on each side for a total of 20, then saw he was only doing five on each side for a total of ten, so I guess I outdid things a bit. I used 25's on those. I did the plyo pushups from my knees and only used two balls in the front instead of the four balls for the Plank Hold.

Start Time: 6:55 pm; Workout Time: 69 minutes; Calories Burned: 260; Avg Heart Rate:93.

SATURDAY - AUGUST 2, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Stretch and Recovery

Not much to say. I was doing some alternate moves from time to time because he was going a bit slower than I wanted, and I didn't feel like holding certain stretches for that long. On the Shoulder Stretches, where he bends over from a standing pose, I tried doing them from my knees because my balance was better. Seemed to work out OK, as I was able to concentrate on the shoulders more without having to worry about my balance.

Start Time: 8:05 pm; Workout Time: 69 minutes; Calories Burned: 226; Avg Heart Rate:92.

SUNDAY - AUGUST 3, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ARX2

The usual. I did 20 reps on each move. Went a bit faster than he did on the second half. My legs weren't as heavy and painful as they were last week.

Start Time: 8:00 pm; Workout Time: 45 minutes; Calories Burned: 202; Avg Heart Rate:97.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 165.0 (-2.0 lbs)
Body Fat: 15.0 (-1.0%)

Big decreases, especially on the body fat. I don't think I've ever lost a full percent in one week. I'm expecting a bump up next week, as this might have been an aberration.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

I got through the workouts OK, but am wondering if I may have overtrained a bit, especially on V-Sculpt. I had very little strength when playing golf on Friday. It could have been other things, but I was wondering if my muscles were still recovering from Wednesday. I've felt that way before. It's Sunday and my shoulders are sore.

Tuesday, July 22, 2025

WEEK OF 07/21/2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 8 - WEEK 9

MONDAY - JULY 21, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Chest, Back, and Balls

I did Band Pulldowns instead of Pullups and that seemed to help me get through. The Pulldowns aren't as effective as Pullups, but I can't do Pullups properly, so they are a better option. Plus, I do get results. The Pushup moves went OK. I couldn't get settled on the stability ball on the "Possible" Pushups and only got two very weak ones in. However, on the Military version, with two balls in front, I was able to get the back settled and got 20 in. I'm careful with the rest for fear of slipping off the medicine balls and hurting my wrists, but I got them in.

Start Time: 6:35 pm; Workout Time: 60 minutes; Calories Burned: 335; Avg Heart Rate:104.

TUESDAY - JULY 22, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Plyocide

I can't really jump "up" because of my feet, so this one was tough trying to figure out how to modify. I did what I could.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 314; Avg Heart Rate:97.

WEDNESDAY - JULY 23, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Shoulders and Arms: MC2

Pretty good. I used the same weights I'd used the last few times. I screwed up a bit early because I did straight Military Presses instead of Arnold Presses on the first two go arounds, but corrected it on the third. Big difference, as the Arnold Presses are much harder. The rest went OK. The only thing I don't do is keep my static hand at a 90 degree angle on the Crazy 8's. My arm drops real quick.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 58 minutes; Calories Burned: 330; Avg Heart Rate:108.

THURSDAY - JULY 24, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Yoga: MC2

One thing I promised myself when starting this blog was that I'd be honest when needing to be. I don't like this workout. It's too long. Too many moves are unnecessarily repeated, and it just seems like a Tony ego trip that he's forcing us to follow along with. I sat through about the first 10 minutes of the second section because I was pissed off, and for much of the rest of the workout I was just thinking of how to blast the workout in my blog. That's how bad my mind got. I understand part of my frustration is because I have problems doing a lot of the moves anymore, and part if it isn't. Yoga is supposed to be relaxing, at least mentally, and this one isn't for me. I I just can't get there with this thing.

Start Time: 6:15 pm; Workout Time: 66 minutes; Calories Burned: 296; Avg Heart Rate:98.

FRIDAY - JULY 25, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Base and Back

A lot of modifying. I can't jump at all, so that affected the plyo moves, and I can no longer do unassisted pullups, so I id band pulldown instead. Not perfect, and much easier, but that's what I had to do.

Start Time: 6:25 pm; Workout Time: 51 minutes; Calories Burned: 211; Avg Heart Rate:95.

SATURDAY - JULY 26, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Total Body X

This went OK. I did what I could. I did try doing the Jump Knee Tucks but found out later it seems to be really damaging my feet and legs. The same thing happened when I did them yesterday, but I didn't put two and two together at the time. Now that I have, I need to stop doing them.

Start Time: 5:10 pm; Workout Time: 42 minutes; Calories Burned: 245; Avg Heart Rate:105.

SUNDAY - JULY 27, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ARX2

Not much to say. I got through the moves OK. My legs were hurting real bad from the beating they took the last two days, so when I was on my back with my feet up in the air, it became excruciatingly painful.

Start Time: 7:45 pm; Workout Time: 45 minutes; Calories Burned: 171; Avg Heart Rate: 93.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 167.8 (-1.2 lbs)
Body Fat: 16.0% (no change)

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Not bad. Month 3 / Volume 3's workouts are generally a consistent step above. I got though them without getting too overwhelmed. There are things I can't do that maybe I used to, but I understand that.

Tuesday, July 15, 2025

WEEK OF 07/14/2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 8 - WEEK 8

MONDAY - JULY 14, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Upper Body Balance

I went a lot faster than he did, finishing up with about 20 minutes left on the video. I increased my reps on a few moves, but decreased it on one (Side Arm Balances) because I felt unstable and thought it was wise not to push myself on that one move. I got five Impossible Pushups in. I'm finding a small trick to make them do-able. I'm balancing on the back stability ball with my ankles instead on me feet. It's not exactly the way it was designed, but the ball rolls less and I can concentrate on the pushup on the front ball. Better than doing none.

Start Time: 7:10 pm; Workout Time: 53 minutes; Calories Burned: 326; Avg Heart Rate:109.

TUESDAY - JULY 15, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg For Legs

Not my favorite workout because I can't get out of it what the workout was intended for. Balance. I held onto a chair for many of the moves so I could at least get some range of motion. Near the end I couldn't even reach to the floor, even while holding onto a chair, because my legs were so fried.

Start Time: 7:35; Workout Time: 52 minutes; Calories Burned: 191; Avg Heart Rate: 91.

WEDNESDAY - JULY 16, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Back and Belly

Nothing exceptional, but the workout went well. I did Band Pulldowns instead of Pullups.

Start Time: 7:00; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 196; Avg Heart Rate: 101.

THURSDAY - JULY 17, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird

Pretty much the same as last time. I'd tried some new socks last week that I had hope for, but took them off mid routine today because they weren't working out. I'm getting frustrated with yoga and am not looking forward to next month's marathon sessions.

Start Time: 7:35; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 134; Avg Heart Rate: 93.

FRIDAY - JULY 18, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 100/30/20

Once again, I did 10 Burpees instead of the 100 Jump Ropes. Those get me winded am I'm sure also get my heart rate up. I don't like Burpees, but force myself to do them here as sort of a challenge to myself.

Start Time: 8:00; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 289; Avg Heart Rate: 110.

SATURDAY - JULY 19, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Confusion: Mason's Choice

This used to be my favorite workout for years, but I've had a hard time doing it ever since I started having problems with my feet and legs in 2021. Today I tried doing it in my sock, without workout shoes. I felt a lot lighter on my feet and was able to do a lot more and go harder than with the shoes. I don't know if it was just in my mind, but it certainly worked mentally. I might start liking this one again.

Start Time: 4:55; Workout Time: 43 minutes; Calories Burned: 280; Avg Heart Rate: 109.

SUNDAY - JULY 20, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

Got it done. Liked it, as usual.

Start Time: 8:15; Workout Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 157; Avg Heart Rate: 96.

SUNDAY WEIGN IN

Weight: 169.0 (+2.2 lbs)
Body Fat: 16.0 (+0.4%)

Not sure what caused this, but I'll keep an eye on things.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

This is the end of Volume 2 for the round. I like most of the workouts because they're different and a bit shorter. I'm not feeling as exhausted as I usually do eight weeks into a round, but I am feeling a good sore.

WEEK OF 07/07/2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 8 - WEEK 7

MONDAY - JULY 7, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Core Ball Sandwich

I went a bit faster than he did on the video and it seemed to work out well. The pacing was still OK, and I got the reps in.

Start Time: 6:10 pm; Workout Time: 41 minutes; Calories Burned: 254; Avg Heart Rate: 108.

TUESDAY - JULY 8, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Butt and Belly

I did OK. Once again, I got the 8 Card Pickups out of the way early so I didn't have to dread keeping up with him during the workout.

Start Time: 7:35 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 263; Avg Heart Rate: 105.

WEDNESDAY - JULY 9, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg

This is a bit of a waste workout for me because I can't balance on one leg. The past few times I've just been doing the moves with both feet on the floor, or maybe with a toe on the floor, and using 20 lb dumbbells. It's worked OK, and at least I'm getting something constructive in instead of wasting my time trying to do things I physically can't. Today, I got a little more creative and did the entire workout with bands. I've never done that before and always wanted to try it. I think it ended up being a good alternative.

Start Time: 8:50 pm; Workout Time: 30 minutes; Calories Burned: 162; Avg Heart Rate: 10.

THURSDAY - JULY 10, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird Yoga

Long day. Cut the lawn when I got done with work, where I worked late. I was going to justify blowing off the workout, but I don't do that. It wasn't great, but I did it. a bit above just going through the motions. The usual. I'm just having a hard time balancing with the stand up poses.

Start Time: 9:50 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 191; Avg Heart Rate: 101.

FRIDAY - JULY 11, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Ten Minute Crusher Pack

I did some floor iterations instead of the hanging moves on the pullup bar, and it does seem to work better, as the hanging moves go too fast, and I'm having a hard time holding on to the bar anyways. I'm holding on to a chair on a lot of the leg exercises, but this gives me a deeper range of motion.

Start Time: 7:10 pm; Workout Time: 33 minutes; Calories Burned: 149; Avg Heart Rate: 96.

SATURDAY - JULY 12, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Intervals

Did what I could. Still not great. Not sure it ever will be, but I tried.

Start Time: 8:50 pm; Workout Time: 41 minutes; Calories Burned: 193; Avg Heart Rate: 96.

SUNDAY - JULY 13, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

Went back to the video. The pace was better, and I felt I got a better workout than without it.

Start Time: 8:30 pm; Workout Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 169; Avg Heart Rate: 98.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 166.8 (-1.0 lb)
Body Fat: 15.6% (-0.2%)

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Everything seemed to go pretty well as far as the workouts went. I was happy with the modification I did with the band workout on Wednesday. Something I've been wanting to try for a while.

Tuesday, July 1, 2025

WEEK OF 06/30/2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 8 - WEEK 6

MONDAY - JUNE 30, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Upper Body Balance

Tough workout. I actually got in two of the "Impossible Pushups" without wedging the stability ball against the couch. I just took it one move at a time and got it done. My range of motion wasn't great at times, but I at least tried.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 53 minutes; Calories Burned:291; Avg Heart Rate:103.

TUESDAY - JULY 1, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg For Legs

Very bad. My balance was worse than horrible. I really noticed it on the second move, the Half Moon Lunges, where I couldn't even begin to lean over to put my hand on the floor. I just kind of gestured. The Pumpers were also noticeably worse than last time. On a lot of moves I held onto a chair, just so I could get some range of motion. I think I'm going to try and modify somehow next time, so I can at least get something out of it. Maybe adding some weights where I can.

Start Time: 7:40 pm; Workout Time: 52 minutes; Calories Burned: 161; Avg Heart Rate: 87.

WEDNESDAY - JULY 2, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Back and Belly

This one isn't as tough for me because I'm doing Band Pulldowns instead to actual Pullups, but they still work me a bit. I did OK on the ab moves.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 150; Avg Heart Rate: 92.

THURSDAY - JULY 3, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird

Better than last week, but still uninspired with the yoga anymore.

Start Time: 7:45 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned:120; Avg Heart Rate:91.

FRIDAY - JULY 4, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 100/30/20

As I did the last round, I substituted the 100 Jump Ropes, which I physically can't do anymore because I have a hard tie getting off the ground, with 10 Burpees. I did 20 in his bonus round also, for a total of 100. I think this actually makes the workout harder, especially for me. The pushups and crunches went well.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 280; Avg Heart Rate: 111.

SATURDAY - JULY 5, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Confusion: Mason's Choice

This one is tough for me to do anymore. Very frustrating, as it used to be my favorite workout.

Start Time: 6:00 pm; Workout Time: 43 minutes; Calories Burned: 256; Avg Heart Rate:106.

SUNDAY - JULY 6, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

I did it without the video because I was watching something on TV. I thought my pace was pretty good, but I did shorten 10 minutes off the workout, so I guess I could have gone a tad slower.

Start Time: 7:50 pm; Workout Time: 26 minutes; Calories Burned: 105; Avg Heart Rate: 96.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 167.8 (-0.6 lbs)
Body Fat: 15.8% (-0.1%)

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Overall, the workouts went OK. No real highs or lows. Just steady. I'm liking the weight loss. I've been working from home for the last month or so, so it's less chance to eat garbage for lunch.

WEEK OF 06/23/2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 8 - WEEK 5

MONDAY - JUNE 23, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Core Ball Sandwich

I just took it one move at a time. I had to improvise on the pullup moves with a band pulldown move, but did the best I could to mimic things. Overall, it went OK, Not great, but not bad, either.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 41 minutes; Calories Burned: 221; Avg Heart Rate: 103.

TUESDAY - JUNE 24, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Butt and Belly

I got one of the 8 card pickup moves out of the way early. The rest went well. Except for the 8 card move, I like this workout.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 272; Avg Heart Rate: 105.

WEDNESDAY - JUNE 25, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - On One Leg

Again, I can't balance, so that part goes out the window. I used 20's on all moves and just did the moves with both feet on the floor, or maybe keeping just a toe on the floor when I was able to do that.

Start Time: 7:25 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 205; Avg Heart Rate: 105.

THURSDAY - JUNE 26, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Patience Hummingbird Yoga

This is one of the shorter yoga workouts that Tony does, but it seemed to take forever. Holding those moves for longer periods time was mentally excruciating.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 181; Avg Heart Rate: 100.

FRIDAY - JUNE 27, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Ten Minute Crusher Pack

Instead on using the chin-up bar for hanging moves, which are pretty much useless to me, I came up with alternative moves on the floor. It seemed to workout well, and I think I got more out of it, but I still have to hone in on what alternate moves to.

Start Time: 5:55 pm; Workout Time: 33 minutes; Calories Burned: 173; Avg Heart Rate: 100.

SATURDAY - JUNE 28, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Cardio Intervals

Not great, but cardio never is, because it's tough for me to jump around. I really wasn't dogging it, but just doing what I could, which I guess is all you can ask.

Start Time: 7:05 pm; Workout Time: 41 minutes; Calories Burned: 234; Avg Heart Rate: 104.

SUNDAY - JUNE 29, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Iso Abs

I normally go faster than he does on this one. Today I went at the same pace, and it seemed a bit harder, especially on The Gate move.

Start Time: 6:25 pm; Workout Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 149; Avg Heart Rate: 96.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 168.4 (1.0 lb)
Body Fat: 15.9% (no change)

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

The workouts went OK, but I am getting a bit tired and sore. Mentally exhausted.

WEEK OF 06/16/2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 8 - WEEK 4

MONDAY - JUNE 16, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Recovery for Results

Not much to say. I'm starting to know the routine better, which helps.

Start Time: 7:15 pm; Workout Time: 38 minutes; Calories Burned: 238; Avg Heart Rate: 108.

TUESDAY - JUNE 17, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Bun Shaper

Pretty good. I got started really late, but got it done. I did both sets of Eight Card Pickups several hours ahead to tome to get them out of the way. During the workout I'm slower on that move than Tony, so I'm usually trying to rush and get ahead on moves so I don't fall behind. By doing them before the workout, it took all of that out of the equation, and I was able to concentrate on the other moves better. It went well.

Start Time: 9:55 pm; Workout Time: 49 minutes; Calories Burned: 304; Avg Heart Rate: 109.

WEDNESDAY - JUNE 18, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Diamond Delts

I used pretty much the same weights I had been using, but tried using 20's on the second set of Y-Presses and did OK. Good workout.

Start Time: 9:40 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 210; Avg Heart Rate: 1089.

THURSDAY - JUNE 19, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Fountain of Youth

The usual. Not really into it and stumbling around because of my balance issues, which doesn't help me trying to stay relaxed.

Start Time: 6:15 pm; Workout Time: 47 minutes; Calories Burned: 244; Avg Heart Rate: 101.

FRIDAY - JUNE 20, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Mammoth UML

I went a lot faster than they did on the video because I just wanted to get it done, but don't think I compromised anything. I substituted moves in the last set because I couldn't do the ones he was doing. Wide Pushups instead of Plyo Skippers and some weak Mary Katherine's instead of the Jump Knee Tucks. I just sat and relaxed during the last fifteen minutes.

Start Time: 7:00 pm; Workout Time: 55 minutes; Calories Burned: 317; Avg Heart Rate: 106.

SATURDAY - JUNE 21, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Medicine Ball Core Cardio

I remembered I put in a very poor effort on this one two weeks ago, and didn't want that to happen again, so I put more effort into it. Some of the results still weren't pretty, but my attitude was much better.

Start Time: 6:45 pm; Workout Time: 36 minutes; Calories Burned: 223; Avg Heart Rate: 107.

SUNDAY - JUNE 22, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Killer Abs

Once again, I did it without the video, working off the worksheets, doing the harder ones first. Went OK.

Start Time: 8:40 pm; Workout Time: 20 minutes; Calories Burned: 118; Avg Heart Rate: 102.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 169.4 (-0.4 lbs)
Body Fat: 15.9% (-0.4%)

Nice that the body fat is decreasing a bit.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

Volume One done. I've worked out for a month after taking a month off. It seemed to go fast.

WEEK OF 06/09/2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - ROUND 8 - WEEK 3

MONDAY - JUNE 9, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - 30-15

32 pushups, 16 Band pulldowns. Everything went well for a good workout.

Start Time: 6:30 pm; Workout Time: 58 minutes; Calories Burned: 308; Avg Heart Rate: 103.

TUESDAY - JUNE 10, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Plyo Legs

I just take this thing one move at a time and do the best I can on each move. There are certain ones I have to modify a lot, but I get it done.

Start Time: 6:20 pm; Workout Time: 63 minutes; Calories Burned: 386; Avg Heart Rate: 108.

WEDNESDAY - JUNE 9, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Just Arms

Good workout. Some I take more seriously than others. Mostly the concentrated strength ones over the full body and cardio ones. I used pretty much the same weights as last time, but did both sets of Crazy 8's with 20's. Last time I'd done one set with 15's. I can't hold my static arm at 45 degrees for a long time when doing them, but the other arm is getting a workout. Only miscue I had was on the first set of Forearm Curls where I grabbed 10's on the first set. I upped it to 15's on the second set when I realized my mistake.

Start Time: 8:35 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 339; Avg Heart Rate: 119.

THURSDAY - JUNE 12, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Fountain of Youth

Much better than the last two weeks. I just tried to shut off the mind chatter telling me I wanted for it to be over. I calmed my mind a bit and took it one move at a time. I certainly wasn't full zen, but it wasn't bad overall.

Start Time: 7:25 pm; Workout Time: 47 minutes; Calories Burned: 245; Avg Heart Rate: 100.

FRIDAY - JUNE 13, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Road Warrior

I was never a big fan of this workout because I never got the most out of it. I was always disorganized with switching bands, where to put my feet, and he was going so fast I could never concentrate on the actual moves. Today I had a plan. I was using the heavier blue band for the bicep and back moves and the lighter yellow band for shoulders and triceps. I also coordinated the move sequence so I could do the blue ones back to back, and the same with the yellow. I used a chair for lunges. I actually got a pretty decent workout. Will look forward to it next time.

Start Time: 6:35 pm; Workout Time: 53 minutes; Calories Burned: 354; Avg Heart Rate: 111.

SATURDAY - JUNE 14, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Super Cardio

I did better than I did two weeks ago. I tried a bit harder and was mentally into the workout than before. There were still some modifications, but I was pleased with the better effort.

Start Time: 7:45 pm; Workout Time: 46 minutes; Calories Burned: 254; Avg Heart Rate: 103.

SUNDAY - JUNE 15, 2025 - TONY HORTON ONE ON ONE - Killer Abs

Same thing as the last few week. I did the workout off the worksheets and did the harder moves first to get them out of the way. The moves went good.

Start Time: 9:35 pm; Workout Time: 19 minutes; Calories Burned: 101; Avg Heart Rate: 99.

SUNDAY WEIGH IN

Weight: 169.8 (-1.2 lbs)
Body Fat: 16.3% (+0.1%)

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

I felt better than the first two weeks for sure. Happy with the weight loss.
